We have been to Brewsters in Lake Bonavista twice because we live close to it. Yesterday we went for dinner and sat on their patio. We ordered and it took FOREVER for our food to come. I’m not sure what happened but tables that arrived AFTER us were served BEFORE us. I kept looking around and the waitress finally came over and said “oh sorry, the kitchen was backed up with orders from inside” which I knew was not true because there weren’t many tables inside, and as I say, people who arrived later got their food first. My husband and I were with our son and he was starving. He ordered the Kids Pizza (because he loves any and all pizza) and when it arrived it looked disgusting. He ate a few bites but could not eat it. It looked worse than any frozen pizza you’d reheat. Very thin crust (if you could call it crust), pizza sauce did not meld, and cheese on top was unintentionally removed with one bite in a sheet. Really gross. My husband had to eat it to avoid it being thrown out. I had the buffalo chicken wrap which was not spicy at all. No kick. I was disappointed. My husband had the Korean tacos and said they were good. Lucky him. We had to rush to eat because the food took so long to arrive, which made for a very poor experience. When I could get the waitress’ attention, I asked for the bill so we could quickly leave as it was so late and we needed to get our son home to feed him (yes, after having taken him out to dinner). Overall quite a bad experience. The other time we went to Brewsters our son ordered the Mac and cheese which was also not good - the cheese was way too SHARP for a child.
I would say Brewsters really needs to work on their kids menu and the service leaves something...
Read moreVisited Brewsters for the first time a few weeks ago. It was busy and there was a little bit of a wait to get in. Not a big deal. I brought my kids with me and they found things to order that they enjoyed. My son said that his cheese pizza was the best he ever tasted haha. My wings were cold when they arrived but they tasted alright. We had the leprechaun pie and it was delish. It comes with two slices so we had lots to bring home because I didn't know there were two with each order and I ordered two places (total of 4 slices for two kids). I would have appreciated if the server told me that there were two slices in the order but it didn't go to waste. We brought it home for the next day.
Aside from the cold food and abundance of pie, my only other concern was at the door. They only scanned my QR code and didn't look at my ID to validate that the code belonged to me. I get that many places are struggling to keep staff and the whole issue around the vaccine passport is on top of other issues they are experiencing.
This location is a bit out of the way for me so I likely won't be returning just because of that (the one in MacKenzie...
Read moreCame in during the afternoon, not only is the pricing as if they were part of the Teatro group, but the food and service was Boston pizza or less. I was rushed into ordering, and after deciding on a quesadilla, which didn’t come with any sour cream, I asked for some. I guess asking for a side sauce for my fries and those of my girlfriends’, among with the ketchup I didn’t want or salsa is too much, because the server straight up told us we had had enough. I’ve heard of people being cut off from alcohol or “sauce” as they say, but not the literal thing. Ridiculous. If I pay money to enjoy some food of my choosing, I don’t want the servers working overtime as mothers advising me what my dietary choices should be. And if they’re gonna do the whole mother thing they could come by my table and ask me at least ONCE how everything is because whenever a drink was finished, it sat there for longer than what these guys/girls would go on break for. I work in the service industry myself and at even the lowest of places that I’ve been unfortunate enough to work in before, they have held far higher standards concerning...
