HONEST REVIEW SUNDAY/DINNER GROUP OF 6
Great little place for a date night. The ambiance is very nice and beautiful with real plants surrounding you. It felt peaceful with the waterfall sound effects. For a few seconds, you forget you are in Calgary.
The service was excellent. We had servers coming to our table almost every 5 minutes to clear our plates, add water, or refill our drinks.
I personally prefer quality over quantity. This place is an example of that meaning. Everything tasted really good and well seasoned.
My only suggestion to this restaurant is to please add one more protein to their menu. That night, we only had 2 choices: beef and chicken legs. (The chicken legs had no flavor) It was a bit disappointing; leaving us with one option. Adding one more meat will make a difference to their selection (ex: pork; fish).
I LOVED the roasted caramelized squash. It was delicious. I think I ate a complete squash on my own. It was that good. Their clamp cream soup was really good as well.
They had a good salad and dessert bar. And their own soft ice cream machine. No complaints there.
It's not bad for $30 pp. But they could reach to excellent if they wanted to. Overall, we'll come back for another date night and hope they have upgraded their...
Read moreAt first I was a little apprehensive about a $30 breakfast buffet so I went back to my vehicle to check out other breakfast places around. Pretty much gonna spend $20-25 for anything decent and that's just one plate. I decided to give the buffet a shot. Glad I did. The selection is solid. They had ham and beef at a carving station, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, potatoes in warming trays, made to order omelettes, eggs Benedict and waffles, salads and dessert tables and even a seafood table. I pretty much partook of just about everything except the seafood. Just wasn't in the mood for it. Everything else was great. The bacon was fully cooked without being too crunchy. The waffle came fresh off the griddle and the berry syrup and whip cream complemented it perfectly. The ham and beef were both tender and juicy with just a little crisp on the outside. The person making the omelletes cooked it perfectly. There was a pineapple caramel pudding cake that topped with soft serve ice cream made the perfect ending to a great meal. I wouldn't make this a regular breakfast stop but if I'm in the mood for a buffet it will be my first choice...
Read moreBooked our Mothers Day Brunch and had a total of 6 in our party. Seating was fast but water fall was excessively noisy because we were seated right next to it. The food was average and a bit overpriced at $ 46 a plate and a $15 service charge. I don't mind a good dollar for premium food but the buffet was the same another time I had been there in the past. Eggs denidict line was long and waited paiently. Second plate was a combination of California rolls and shrimp with some muscles. Out of the 6 muscles I put on my plate realized 5 were not opened as they must have been bad. Last plate I had the end piece of prime rib with yorkshire puddings. The prime rib had too much gristle in it and only had a few bites. The yourshire pudding was tough because it was sitting in a heating tray. Lastly I had one piece of my wife's bacon because she said it tasted funny and she was right it tasted like the canned heat chemical. In the end the food was very average food menue and was too expensive for the money they charge. Would we come back, not sure and will more than likely try a different...
