Great Canadian Pizza - Butter Chicken Hut — Restaurant in Calgary

Ordered butter chicken one night for dinner. Got home, meal was awful. Chicken was dried out beyond it being edible, and some of it was actually Tandoori Chicken just thrown into butter chicken sauce. We have ordered from here multiple times before and have always been satisfied with the freshness of the food. So I called the restaurant and let the Manager Ibrahim know of our dissatisfaction, he said something about a new cook etc. and offered that the next time we order the two orders of Butter Chicken would be on him. I asked if he wanted to take my name and he said no just ask for me when you order again. I told him it was soooo bad that we would probably not eat here anymore. Again he stated next time you order call me and I will look after it. Called a few weeks later and asked for Ibrahim, spoke to him and recounted story and he says well anyone can call in and say they did not like their food and expect me to give them free food. I was insulted and told him I didn't need free food but that he was the one that had told me to call and he would look after it next time. He then acquiesced and said ok I will comp one but not two. I was further ticked off as he was continuing to insinuate that I was making up the story. I told him there are lots of other restaurants and if he cant comp two meals that tasted like shat the first time then he is probably going to go out of business. He certainly has lost any future money...

I go to this place regularly for four significant reasons. Firstly, the staff are very friendly and polite. Secondly, they do not skimp on how much they give you. For example, a jumbo shawarma/donair is absolutely jam-packed with meat, and they advised me against ordering a double pepperoni pizza because there'd be enough meat with a single order (they were right). Thirdly, the food tastes great. They use fresh ingredients, and they cook everything properly. The pizza, kebabs and curries all taste delicious. Lastly, they have a varied menu, including pizza, Indian/Pakistani food and kebabs. I noticed that some people left bad reviews because you have to wait, but there's nothing to stop you from placing an order at home and then coming to collect it at a time of your choosing. If you place your order inside the actual premises, then yes, you'll have to wait a little, but this is actually a good thing because it means your food is being prepared from scratch and isn't just being grabbed out of a warmer.
