Advice and caution to all Who ever plans to dine in or take away at Khan Baba restaurant Savana, kindly be watchful and careful of the quality of food they serve, today on the 26th of February myself and my wife visited the place around 6:30 pm and ordered Chicken Karahi for two which neither had any intact chicken piece nor was there any taste and the Curry looked as if it was the day's left out and tasted stale, by the time we were home around 735 pm, we had terrible Diarrhoea and nausea followed by vomiting. It's a caution to all before Ramadan as they might be serving stale food to their customers in the Holy month of Ramadan too... please beware and think before you plan a visit...There are way better places around to enjoy food...
Absolutely worst experience, the food and service was not to be spoken about, first time ever in my life that I wasn't served water with food.... Beware everyone that this is the only restaurant which has different rates for dining in and take out, so save yourselves from a horrendous experience... My advice to the Khan Baba management and owners is to be more professional if you wish to survive in the Food industry as there are so many better people...
Read moreI ordered yakhni pulao with chutney and chicken korma, and it was genuinely awful. The rice was bland, but the chutney was curdled, watery, and smelled off. It soaked into the pulao and ruined the whole dish. The chicken korma was clearly spoiled — the oil had separated, the texture was weirdly solidified, and it smelled sour and off. Nothing about it was fresh.
To make it worse, they charged me twice for the korma. When I called, the manager Saad agreed to e-transfer me for the extra charge — but refused to refund the spoiled food I actually received. He argued the entire time, raised his voice, and repeatedly told me he didn’t believe me because “the food is made fresh in the morning.” I picked up the order at 5pm — so even if it was made fresh, it clearly wasn’t stored properly. Spoiled is spoiled.
When I asked to speak to the owner, he said: “I’m going to hang up. Call back in an hour.” And then actually hung up.
The food was inedible, and the way I was treated was honestly disgusting. Zero accountability, no professionalism, and no basic respect for customers. If you care about food safety or being treated with respect, you shouldn't...
Read moreAmazing dinner to end our trip!! We had been driving all day out in Banff and wanted a nice hearty meal to close out our trip. Many options to choose from for Pakistani/Indian food but KB just felt authentic. We ordered the beef Haleem, chicken Sindhi biryani, chicken Karahi, Chapli kabab, and some naan. The food was amazing and the quantity was filling. The Haleem was rich, biryani and Karahi were bursting with flavor, the naan was fresh and soft and the kabab were juicy. The owner, Mr. Khan was very friendly and accommodating. He was passionate about his food and genuinely loved meeting new people. He kept us company throughout our meal and even gave us a free dessert. When we make our next trip back here, we will absolutely be making a stop...
