I must say that the restaurant that we went to have. The buffet was disgusting. The only thing that was good was a roast beef, carrots, and potatoes. Everything else was not very nice. My daughter doesn't eat meat, she couldn't even eat. The Pasta was so overdone, it was still hard. The fish was raw, so they took that off. And my daughter and the bordering nachos off the menu. By the time she got the nachos I had my coffee. I was down ready to leave. She packed up to go and forgot the tray on the table within seconds from going to the restaurant to my room up in the elevator and back down. They had throw in the whole box of food in the garbage. We had to argue with the manager that was on stop. That said he didn't care that she had ate it. And that was a lie she had even had it in front of her for 5 minutes. So once again, we are arguing with a hotel. They watched on surveillance to see that. She didn't eat her food at all. That they had throw it at a whole order in the garbage. Then they delivered it up to the room. And the nachos were disgusting, they were saggy and you could not even eat them. There's still a full tray here in front of me. 30 dollars, it cost me $20 for the nachos. $6 for the hamburger and $3 for salsa and sour cream, 3 more dollars. I definitely would never go back to that restaurant ever again. Between the food and manager it was appalling. I am going to take it down to the restaurant today before I leave the hotel. I am going to demand to have my $30 given back to me. And then on top of that, the hotel that we are at I stated another day at 8 in the morning I had went down to the front desk to pay for my room for another day and the lady asked me. Is there anything I can get you I said sure we could probably use some more towels later on. I had left my daughter sleeping in the room within 5 minutes of the time I paid at the desk, there was somebody walking in my room that was from the kitchen, not even the staff that is it capable of delivering towels. My daughter was so upset she was in tears. Thinking somebody was breaking into the room. Here I am at the restaurant having breakfast and not even knowing. Apparently, that is not their protocol to enter my room. But once again, the stay was disgusting. And on top of that, the nachos were supposed to have no jalapenos, it was full of it so she didn't get to end up even eating dinner. The manager even wrote it all down to put. No jalapenos and extra sour cream and extras. Salsa, and they showed up to the room. Not even with salsa or sour cream and full...
Read moreWe did the buffet for dinner and then breakfast the next day. The prime rib was delicious but the gravy was flavorless and the Yorkshire puddings looked amazing but they were very tough. The braised beef ravioli was just mediocre. The most disappointing thing was that I had this buffet a month ago and the selection was much better and the food was tastier, hence why I ordered it again. There was no chicken option, the dessert options were bland and the eclairs were, frankly, disgusting (I think there was curry in the pastry? Whatever it was, it did not suit). No fruit custard tarts, no trifle, the fruit salad fruit wasn't very ripe, the cakes were either overly sweet or bland and nothing had a description as to what it actually was, it just said "assorted cakes" "assorted pastries". The salads were tasteless. Definitely not worth $39.99. This morning for breakfast the food took 40 minutes to arrive (and the restaurant was fairly empty at 730am) and when it did arrive the eggs were over cooked. Unfortunately my eggs benedict also had a half egg shell in it so that had to go back. I will say the staff are lovely, and they were very kind and apologetic and took it off our bill, but, it's still hard to believe a poached egg made it through quality check with half an eggshell in it. We won't be doing breakfast here again (this is the second time we've come and the service has been slow and the food mediocre), but would give the buffet another chance, perhaps it depends on the team who's...
Read moreMy wife and I spent two nights at the Deerfoot Inn March 9th and 10th. We bought a casino package that provided a $50 food and beverage card for the two night stay. The morning of the 10th we went for breakfast at the Mojave Grill. We waited to be seated for 5 to 7 minute. We could only see one server and one bus girl and there were few customers. I ordered a breakfast sandwich off the seniors menu and my wife ordered a full bacon and eggs meal and coffee. The meal took a bit to arrive and when it did show up both meals were dried out probably sitting under a heat lamp for too long. The breakfast sandwich was $8 and the bacon and eggs was $17 +$4 for coffee. Low quality for a high price.
That night we returned to use up the remainder of our food credit. Same long wait to be seated. Only one waitress and one bus girl who was very nice and attentive. I had steamed mussels and my wife had pasta. Dinner finally arrived after a considerable wait. The mussels were boiled to the size of a navy bean pale and without flavour. The broth was chicken stock with shredded onion chunks some parsley and two halved cherry tomatoes. The pasta was unremarkable and we headed out as soon as we finished standing at the reception area trying to get someone’s attention so we could pay. No drinks a 2oz Caesar was $20. Yikes!! Bottled domestic beer was $7. Not going there again. Not much for value or...
