Ordered the 16 piece bone in chicken meal with a large fries. When I picked it up I noticed that the box the chicken came in was quite small so I asked the girl on the register if this was the 16 bone in chicken meal and replied yes . I was told on the phone when ordering they had gravy , so I also ordered a gravy . When I came to pick my order up , I was told they didn’t have any gravy on the menu, I got my order home and realized that I had 4 pieces of chicken with bone , and the other 12 pieces were nothing more than tiny pieces of chicken fingers which were so dry I needed to chug a glass of water. The fries weee limp and cold and also couldn’t believe it was a large , no more than maybe 20 French fries . I don’t as upset so I called the store and asked for a refund , I was going to return and the representative told me no and that there was nothing they could do . In the end , I paid 38$ for ham order that I didn’t receive and chicken fingers , I would have rather gone yo A&W if it was chicken fingers I wanted . I hope this place goes out of business, terrible customer service and...
Read moreWe love having My Chicken & Meat as one of the local Korean Fried Chicken places in our area however we didn't really have an ideal last experience.
We had ordered a family Combo A which is a great value with a whole chicken, large fries, two cans of coke and sauce with an additional Green Mountain Chicken for takeout. While the food was overall pretty good (the sauce for the Green Mountain Chicken would have been nicer as a thicker sauce), when I got home I realized that we didn't get any sauce for our family Combo A. I called the restaurant and they admitted they had forgot to put it into our order and apologized. I then drove back to the restaurant and it's pretty typical for Korean places to offer something complimentary (such as a small menu item or drink) to address their mistake but I was simply given my sauce. Disappointing when I had to put in the trouble of having to drive back to the restaurant. We might go to different offerings because of this...
Read moreI wish this lovely family-run shop was in my neighbourhood. I tried their chicken meal with fries and salad while darling daughter had the traditional beef bulgogi also with salad. The chicken was hot and crispy, juicy and delicious. The fries were on a totally different level. Crispy like they slightly coated (a la Costco) but a way more sophisticated version so it wasn’t detectable upon inspection. If you’re more of a savoury fan, I would opt out of the dipping sauce and the salad dressing as both are on the sweeter side. Just my preference.
The beef bulgogi was perfectly cooked with a nice balance of savoury & sweet with freshly sliced onions. I also appreciated that salad is included to give the meal some freshness and hopefully, some health karma points from eating huge heap of animal protein.
You know it’s good when you forget to take pictures to prioritize...
