Second Cup Café — Restaurant in Calgary

I invite you to check out this family-run Second Cup location. The food is good - I've only tried the breakfast cookie and the blueberry scone. The cookie was my favorite - great texture and flavor. The scone was good, as well, but it was more like a muffin than a scone. Coffee is always good here and the location is beautiful. I've tried the iced-coffe, Americano, and vanilla latte. I found the vanilla latte too sweet for my preference, but it was still quite delicious. If you're a morning person, you might also enjoy the sunshine pouring through the generous windows. This makes me so sad because this used to be my favourite place to go. They are under new management and it is a zoo in there. I order my coffee through the app, usually 20 minutes in advanced, then it is never ready when I get there. So I have to stand in the LONG line and tell them I had an online order. The order is always just in the middle of the insane amount of tickets they just leave in the machine. I have been there a lot since the new management and everyone is always very unhappy with the service. Used to come here everyday. Service went downhill recently. he put in the wrong drink, wrong size (tried to overcharge me) wrong milk, and didn’t add spice on top like the picture clearly shows. told me they don’t put spice on the drinks??? it’s a iced matcha oat SPICE. Right there on the picture shows spice. told me they don’t serve mochas, he doesn’t even know the menu. took 20 minutes to get two drinks. Will not be returning. he clearly tried to overcharge me because he said “what size?” i said “small” he took a small cup and pressed medium on the machine. both of the workers clearly do not know their own menu and what’s displayed right behind them. hire honest Canadians or go out...
