Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Calgary

I went to Dairy Queen around 9:45 pm on Canada Day. It was a terrible experience. I ordered a strawberry sundae. The syrup was dripping around the container and made a mess all over my hands. I was given a long Blizzard spoon and not a regular spoon. I decided to stay and eat it in the restaurant because I didn't want to make a mess in my car. Big mistake! Some obnoxious and very noisy teenagers came in. They knew two of the staff members working. They ordered their ice cream and continued to make a loud racket. A female employee and a male employee stopped working and came out from behind the counter to socialize with them. The group of them continued to be extremely noisy. It was so loud that I left the restaurant with a headache! These two employees were paid to be working and they clearly were not. They were really loud, joking around with their friends and extremely unprofessional. Other customers came in and they did not care. They should not be representing Dairy Queen. Back in my day it was difficult to get a job and kids valued having one and had a good work ethic. We had respect for our workplace and others around us. This was definitely lacking here. I phoned today to register a complaint and was told that the manager was unavailable. The girl that took my complaint did not seem to care and just said that she would pass my comments along. I decided to post my review here in the hopes that the manager will see this post and take action. If I am upset I am sure that there are other customers that are as well. I've been frequenting the store for the past few years and the store is simply a mess. More often over the past 2 weeks as a post gym scroll sorta thing. Floors are never clean the chairs are constantly dusty and the quality of the ice cream is pretty bad. It doesn't have the same level of richness it did 5 years ago and the portions to price are not the best. The staff is pretty friendly but from what I've noticed nobody seems to clean. I've done stints at other fast food places and the expectation was if your not doing anything clean I've noticed and glanced into the kitchen when I've been here a few times and noticed that the staff that tend to be more frequently be on the floor are always on their phone. Alongside how overall the store is so dusty. I do understand since a large number of the employees are teens but in the same sentiment it seems like non of the senior staff takes the job seriously either. As a whole I would say avoid this store since the quality of the food isn't that good and the environment...

I have a love for the triple cheese and the cookie jar blizzard. They are my weakness. Lol please see my update.

My last review was over a year ago. But since then, the store has new owners.

I have changed my review from five stars to one. This is not for Dairy Queen itself. The brand still has great food. This is for this store itself.

This store cheaps out on its products that makes for customers.

For example, the triple cheese burger (I have been ordering this for years and at multiple stores,) this store makes them with three patties of beef and one slice of cheese. Everyone and including the previous owners make a triple cheese burger with three patties of beef and three slices of cheese. That is what makes that burger epic. Another example is thier blizzard. The Reese's blizzard has in it the peanut butter cup and Reese's pieces. The blizzard this store made had no pieces in it.
