I am really impressed by the customer service from the Pho Hoan Pasteur (located in Quarry Park).

I ordered lunch for myself and a co-worker through SkipTheDishes. The Pho with Sate broth was exactly how I liked it since I didn't have to add any hoisin or sriacha for more flavor. The raw beef to get it cooked to my desired temperature, I had simply heated up the broth with the beef in the microwave for a minute before adding it to the rest of the dish. To avoid not having enough broth, since the noodles tend to absorb/cook the noodles after adding the broth, I simply removed some noodles before adding the broth since I never finish the noodles anyways.

Where I am impressed with their customer service was when our food was delivered, a Ca phe sua da (vietnamese coffee) was missing from our order. I called them during the lunch hour and got no answer (as expected since it was likely busy) so I had contacted Skipthedishes and Skipthedishes provided me a credit for the missing item. At this point I had thought everything was done and I would have given a 3.5 stars for the great food but not perfect since I was missing an item and really wanted coffee to get me through the rest of the day.

It was shortly after receiving the credit from Skipthedishes, I received a phone call from an employee from Pho Hoan Pasteur, apologizing for their mistake. They told me they have noted my name, phone number and Skipthedishes account and the next time I order online or come in that they would compensate me for their mistake. Because they reached out to me after I thought everything was done, owned up to their mistake and are compensating me on my next visit or order. I have given then 5/5 stars. Extremely happy with how they handled...

Hi, Iโ€™m not critiquing the food, never had it and probably never will. Tonight I arrived about 7:47pm, went in, was told takeout only (due to closing soon, understandably). Then after reviewing the takeout menu for no more than 1&1/2 minutes the hostess came out of the kitchen saying, sorry, the kitchen is all cleaned up. This was unfortunate, as this happened approximately 8 months prior, basically the same scenario except that I went outside to call and ask for peopleโ€™s orders and only after about 3 minutes they locked the door. Yes, humorous lolโ€ฆ oh well, later for this place. Open until 8:00pm, not. When I was in the restaurant business, doors and customers were never turned away according to the business operating hours posted on the doors. I have noticed other businesses closing prior to posted/listed hours of operation, even big box stores (a half an hour, or more) prior to their posted hours of closing. I.e., I used to close at 9 and get paid until 10, once everything and everyone was done. Things have changed, thatโ€™s my rant, but Iโ€™m not peeved off. This, and or other examples is not how I would run a business. Perhaps their food and service is great, if you arrive an hour...

I casually strolled into the restaurant around 12:30 in the afternoon and ordered a vegetarian version of the pho. To my surprise, the soup arrived only about five minutes after ordering. As I naively shoveled the delicious noodles into my ravenous slurp hole, I quickly realized that the temperature of the soup was that of molten lava. My mouth was burned, but my spirit remained unbroken. After about 45 minutes of downtime on the 'gram, I dove in for a second bite. I was happy to find the noodles had reached a more tolerable temperature; however, with my chopstick skills being subpar at best, I accidentally released some of the slippery rice noodles back into the bowl. What ensued following the release was the discharge of a splash of chili-laden broth which struck me in the left eye. It burned. Eye cried. As I am now an experienced noodler, I would happily return as it was an overall satisfying experience, save for the moderate scorching of some...

A 3.5 good to go to kind of place for your straight forward good viet food. The food comes out clean/fresh and the service here is quick (also didnt feel thirsty after the meal for those who sometimes have that effect after eating). Lots of seating although it gets packed quick during lunch as main cliental are the businesses around this area. The pricing is decent especially since food comes in large portions. The only semi negative comment is their viet coffee to go...understanding it comes in small portions bc the coffee itself is super strong...the way it looks (see picture) when it arrives looks like someone drank half of it as theres also more ice than liquid and the liquid is less than half the cup size. Best to probably choose a smaller cup to make it look better. Otherwise it is a really good and strong viet coffee.

My wife and I really enjoy the Rare Beef Peanut ๐Ÿฅœ Saute ๐Ÿ˜‹ For take out, I appreciate how they separate out the beef and allow the consumer to cook the beef in the broth themselves! Very thoughtful packaging! It always provides a tender freshly cooked taste to the beef that certainly elevates this dish to another level! The sweet and spicy ๐Ÿ”ฅ combination in the Peanut ๐Ÿฅœ Saute sauce became a quick favourite for us in Calgary. A must try off their menu. I do have to say I would personally prefer to receive the Hoisin sauce and Sriracha Chili ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ Sauce in the bag with the chop sticks and not in the bag next to the basil and bean sprouts.
