I come here in a regular basis and I have been in probably 6 different Libraries in Calgary but this one is the noisiest of them all. No respect for people studying, reading or creating content. Shame on you. It is more like a nursing home. A job interview (Phone) place a gathering place where people talk (shout/yell) some scream too. No enforcement of respect, quietness, silence. The whole area should be split/dived into two or three areas: One for the disabled/handicapped, one for toddlers and one for those who actually come to do research, read, work. Also the attendants should be trained to enforce the respect for the quite space. Maybe opening a sole area for handicapped will help a lot. Conclusion: If you are looking for a quite space to read, do homework, investigate, THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT PLACE

Surprising nice library inside YMCA sport centre. They have a meeting room too. It located in the quite nice and friendly area.

The new location of the library is great as it is spacious compared to the old location in Glenmore Square. The problem about this library is that it is very, very loud. The kids area should have a closed area (or wall), or even the quiet area to close the sound off. If you are looking for a quiet library to study during the night, I do not suggest this location.. only during the mornings when the kids are in school. The librarians do not tell their parents to lower their children's voice in the library for some reason.. some kids honestly are just screaming and running around but nothing happens or just a simple shush and it's back to screaming again.. frustrating to those people who are actually trying to...

Overall the Library was very clean, the staff knowledgeable and welcoming, there are lots of natural light as well. My only complaint is the noise level. While I was studying, I had to use my custom noise ear defenders to block out the environmental sounds. For example; there were several people on their cell phones- talking loudly, children screaming and running around. I understand that this is a public library and that there will be some background noise. However, I did not expect it to be as noisy as an outdoor playground.

As I said, it's a beautiful facility that is a great addition to the community, just not a great place to study or...
