Stoop Cafe — Restaurant in Calgary

As a fellow worker in the industry, I rarely leave reviews. 90% of the time, it's by some mundane, idiotic, never-worked-for-minimum mouth breather. We don't need each other's opinions, I say, and we'd all be better off without such easy access to voicing them. I break my policy and silence for The Stoop.

A coffee shop, which I erroneously assumed it was, simply has no business being this good. This is no coffee shop. This is the best sandwich in town. For breakfast, the chorizo sando will keep you very, very happy. Compliment with some street corn for a citrus, cotija laden pairing. But come after 11:30 for the real action. The WOP-er, their cheese steak, the Gio, the Chez Celine. Drop the $9, dry as a bone, slim on the fixings Starbucks sandwich in the trash and remind yourself that you are worth more than that.

Went to Stoop for the first time yesterday and I cannot recommend enough! Five stars across the board!

I drink a LOT of coffee, and the latte I had here was the best I've had maybe ever. The food is delicious, well prepared, and the ingredients obviously well selected. They know their taste profiles and what's good together! Amazing sandwich spot.

Also loved the vibe - the music was fun and upbeat, good energy, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Nice art and plants and feels cozy :)

Doesn't have a lot of plugins at the tables so maybe better for social cafe visits with friends or fam but if you brought a power bank or something there's a nice windowsill spot that would be great for laptop working with a coffee.

It's a gem in the Renfrew community, but also more broadly it's definitely a spot to visit in Calgary even if you live farther away! Just note their hours...
