This is by far the worst Subway I have ever been to.
Today I went for a sub to support sub day and give a meal to someone in need... and I left feeling so uncomfortable I couldn't even speak.
I drove my car in the freezing cold, and terrible road conditions to arrive at a very, very busy subway. I figured, "it's okay - today is a big day for them, I should have expected the wait".
They had only two staff members one seemed to be a dad and son. The dad was very grumpy and kind of pushy with the ordering process of the customers in from of me. The son seemed to be more kind with customers, but he was still rude.
Anyway, the customers in front of me were one large group, then a couple. Then there was me, and a large family behind me. The ordering process went as is should for everyone in front of me and even for me, at the beginning.
I was called upon to make my sub and everything seemed normal, I asked for my sub to be toasted. Then a strange woman came out of the back and all the staff started talking to each other in a different language while making sandwiches. I thought "well that is alienating but... But what can I do?"
They never toasted my sub. They just completely forgot my sub on the table and toasted the entire family of six people behind me.
Then they started to dress my sub with lettuce completely disregarding the fact my sub wasn't toasted.
I said, "no, I would like I sub toasted - and I also don't want lettuce on my whole sub. Why didn't you ask me first? Maybe I PLEASE have my sub toasted?"
They then took out the other order of the family of six behind me and started making all of their subs.
Eventually they toasted mine, and shoved in amid the subs being made... Where I couldn't stand next to my sub. I don't go to subway all the time. I had no idea what I wanted to use as toppings - but I knew I wanted the same process as everyone else. I did not get that.
I was surrounded by the confused family of six trying to make their subs.
It was incredibly uncomfortable. I got my meal and left.
I have no idea if I contributed to someone in need.... I felt like I was treated unlike everyone else in the line because I only had one sub. I felt small.
The real kicker of this whole thing is that I got a hair in my sub.
A short, old, man hair. Gross.
I will never come here again.
Should have gone to Panago. Save your time and money. Do...
Read moreToday I had what was probably the worst retail experience of my life. I went to this store at 8:30am, to get a sub for my daughter to take to her summer camp, and the store was closed - even though the sign on the door says they open at 7am. So I went to the Rocky Ridge location and got her a sub. At lunchtime, my younger daughter wanted a sub, so we went back to the Tuscany location. As we were paying, I asked them about what time they opened. The "employee" (owner's kid I think) said they had opened at 8am that morning, but clearly they hadn't. He said they had been in the back, but the door had been locked, so I don't consider that "open". I asked why they don't change the sign on the door to reflect their actual opening hours. I'm honestly not that upset that they weren't open, but that the sign said they would be -- and they weren't. The owner came along and said that they have been having a lot of problems with robberies and so therefore aren't opening when they don't feel that it is safe. So again I asked why they don't change the sign to show their actual hours. He just kept saying that they have been having robbery problems and are working with the Calgary Police, and don't open when it isn't safe. That's fine, if they want to change their hours that is totally their call. I told him that I didn't understand why they can't post their correct hours on the door, and that I wouldn't go there anymore if I don't know when they are open (it seems random). He then told me they are more concerned with their safety, and that is their priority right now vs. running their business. Then the owner and his wife told me to "get out". I couldn't believe it! Like I said, I totally understand if they want to change their hours to whatever they want but just post the new hours on the door - that is all I was saying! He is extremely rude, obviously he isn't concerned at all about his business!!! They are the ones who should "get out" - get their store out of our neighbourhood if they are going to treat customers that way!!! Another customer in line behind me (a man I don't know) also left when he saw how...
Read moreI would not even give this location a 1 star. It is a horrible subway restaurant. I have lived in Tuscany for 6 years and in our first year in the area we visited this location twice. I swore never to return because of their horrible customer service and the inability to make a decent sub designed by/ for a customers wishes. I returned again to see after all this time if it has become any better and it has not. The customer service if very poor, staff are unable to communicate properly with patrons and when corrected on miscommunications they become rude and visibly annoyed. The roasted chicken and BLT subs were cold after a less than 5 min drive ( not exaggerating we are just down the road ). I had to warm the meat up in microwave when I got home. They are cheap with toppings, I ask for extra something they throw 5 more on, I ask for a little bit of black pepper they toss on a mountain of it, I ask a question regarding my order I get snapped at or ignored, Didn’t say what the total was just pushed the button for debit payment, didn’t ask if I wanted my receipts, didn’t thank me or say have a good night or enjoy my horribly made sub or anything. Just had a back to me while they had a conversation with someone else who walked in. We have always avoided this location after our first two experiences and again I wish I had stuck to my gut. What a waste of money! When my family goes to subway near home we avoid Tuscany. We will drive to Rocky Ridge or Crowfoot. Honestly I’ve gone all the way to Beacon Heights to get a sub worth paying for. Maybe it’s just my luck when I’ve visited Tuscany location and have had poor service but honestly, unless you want poor customer service and/or a less than mediocre sub, do not go to the Tuscany Subway. It isn’t worth your money. I will never recommend this location or go back to this location. I will continue to drive out side of Tuscany...
