What a gem! (3-stars because it's not a fancy restaurant but my love for this restaurant is 5-stars, so I give it 4-stars as a go-between. 😎)
I was actually intending to be somewhere else with a friend, but when that didn't work out, the next closest thing was Big Rock Garage. When I first looked through the menu, I couldn't believe the options of delicious foods they served there.
Wine 5* The right price; the right brand. Menu 4* it's not a huge menu, but the choices are fun, and host a great variety. Service 4* I don't have any complaints; it's just not a five-star kind of place. And I don't think it's trying to 😊 Seating 3* very casual chairs and tables; I wouldn't have minded a little more space between ours and the next table. Decor 3* well chosen paraphernalia on the wall; very casual environment. French fries: 5* this gets its own category because I was impressed at the crispiness of these fries. Lol Sushi 5* say whaaat? I couldn't believe that there were sushi rolls on the menu. And they were fantastic! Fresh and flavorful and a great...
Read moreI used to love this place! They had the best food. They have taken the only things off the menu I liked.
I am not alone, everyone I would tell about this restaurant always went for the pulled beef sandwich, it was to die for. Their shanghai rolls were equally as good, if not better. They removed them both from the menu.
Their oriental bowl is really good, but it's terrible without the Shanghai rolls it used to come with, the spring rolls are terrible.
With all that said the staff is great.
The owner is great(would be much better if he brought the pulled beef back)
The gyozas are amazing! Best I have ever had. They are still on the menu. The sauce for them is sooooo good.
Wife likes their sushi.
But without their pulled beef and oriental bowl, we don't even like to order from here anymore. We used to come here one or twice a week at the very least. So sad.

Read moreFor a change, we can both get the cuisine of our choice without having to compromise. We had Asian: Stir Fry Vegetable with rice instead of egg noodles, and Western: BBQ Chicken Sandwich with house salad. They kept to their promise of local and fresh: the House Salad was very fresh, with different kinds of vegetables including purple cabbage, instead of the usual imported box of mixed organic greens. The stir fry was obviously made from scratch, with cauliflower, broccoli, bell peppers, jicama, siu-choy, snap peas, onions, and carrots. We liked it so much we cancelled our dinner reservation elsewhere and came back the next night. Although the stir fry was just as good, I regretted ordering the chicken wings as it was battered with gluten and gave me indigestion. The french fries from the fish and chips were not cut from real potato fries, nothing like...
