Mon Shish Taouk — Restaurant in Candiac

Went again and met Irfan (dad), Rana and Samir, excellent service and of course the food as always high quality.

Famished and searched for HALAL restaurant after the visit at the Railway museum. Shish taouk or chicken shawarma seems appealing. Rolled in with hungry grumpy kids and was treated to "de" best chicken shawarma EVER.

We also ordered the kofte kebab on skewers and I fancied my own chicken shawarma with SAJ bread. Please do me a favor and get the SAJ bread for any of your shawarma here, it was crispy and made to perfection!

The people there were friendly, in particular Miriam when we struck a conversation and got to know more about how the food is as homemade as you can get for Syrian food. The garlic sauce is to die for! Oh and the potato sides, extremely flavorful pillowy potatoes that exploded in my mouth, I just can't get enough.

A truly delightful experience.

My partner and I were passing through the area and wanted to find a family-run business to support instead of hitting up some chain restaurant.

Could not have been more impressed!

Everyone was so friendly and patient with us as we decided what we wanted and despite being quite busy they checked in with us.

The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the restaurant was extremely clean and well-lit.

We both went with mixed plates and a variety of potatoes, rice and salads.

We were full before we finished our orders but it was too good not to power through and finish it.

We tried a little baclava for dessert and it was phenomenal too. Not too sugary, tender but also not too moist.

Admittedly, we had to take our side order of falafel to go but we'll be enjoying those later tonight.

If we're back this way, we know where we'll be eating.

Tried this place as we were in the area for the first time, looking for halal places to eat. The Argentinian guy who took my order was absolutely lovely. I asked him for recommendations as this was my first time in Canada, and hus recommendations did not disappoint! The shawarma style wrap was amazing and the salad bowls that accompanied it were delectable.

After I put my order in my eyes caught the attention of the cake fridge. We chose the strawberry cheese cake which was delicious and I’m glad I tried it. Also got a pistachio cake, which I wasn’t a huge fan of.
