Booked a reservation for my boyfriends 21st birthday. Firstly, essentially no staff speak a lick of English, at least for me, I'm bilingual, so I guess it's fine.
I came in and asked in English for my reservation. She didn't understand, so I switched to French. She misunderstood and thought I wanted to reserve 30 people. The manager came up and started berating for a minute at me about how they couldn't seat 30 people. They never asked for my reservation name, jesus got off on the wrong foot. It gets worse. They sat us down finally, we were waiting roughly 15-20 minutes for the other guests to arrive, lady comes back and said if they weren't coming, they would be forced to move us to a non-booth, this happened 2 times! I order aps cause in my mind they can't kick us off a table for a birthday if we have food. My boyfriend was extremely uncomfortable, and so was I.
Finally we ordered, we asked for a pitcher of water she said right away, took 10-15 minutes so I asked again, then they brought it.
The pizza was literally dripping with grease. My pasta was decent. At least my boyfriend enjoyed it, except for the service.
At the very end, after many issues with staff, I tip 5$ on a 150$ bill, in my mind, the service was bad so they won't get a great tip, I still tipped nonetheless, waiter looked at me and was fuming and starts berating me and told me off for a bad tip, then she takes my boyfriends grandmothers bill and chucks it on the table and storms off.
I'm leaving the store, and I can overhear staff talking about how "I'm cheap" and didn't tip properly in French.
I won't be back, I'd get a refund if possible....
Read moreWe had previously loved our past experiences with Como Delson, but our last order for pick up was, unfortunately, messed up.
One plate had the wrong ticket stapled on the bag, and one entire plate was missing.
The error was caught, but only after we left and were already home, 20 minutes away.
The agent asked if we could drive back to pick up the rest of the order, as they could not deliver it. Pouring rain and starving kids, we politely declined and ended up all sharing with the child whose meal did not make it home.
I think in an extenuating circumstance such as this, and for the amount of the bill that was paid, they should have delivered the meal to make things right, since the error was on their part. Out of all the restaurants around, we chose to drive 20 minutes to order from Como.
We are technically out of their delivery zone, but it was still very disappointing that they asked us to drive back - delivering the missing piece was the least that they could have done or, so we thought. Instead, we were offered a store credit.
Perhaps the administration may use this as constructive feedback for the next time; mistakes happen, how you deal with the aftermath matters.
My son was very disappointed he didn't get his meal. Having that specific meal with us on that specifix occasion mattered.
A random $20 credit that requires us to drive 20 minutes out of our way is less satisfactory than that meal on that day.
I sincerely hope the administration understands...
Read moreKitchen unable to produce a simple plate of spaghetti & meat sauce in timely fashion. Attended this restaurant last week. All of our party was served our meals, except for one person. That person did not receive a meal. The menu item they'd ordered was the simplest of dishes: spaghetti with standard meat sauce. Nothing unusual, nothing complicated, no special request. Kitchen could not fulfill this simple request. The member of our party who did not receive any meal waited, and waited, and waited, while everyone else in our party received their orders and ate. Everyone else finished their meals: but one person still had not been served. Still waiting, for standard, simple spaghetti from a pasta restaurant. Unacceptable. Kitchen unable to produce a simple plate of spaghetti & meat sauce in timely fashion. Finally, after an extreme wait, the meal was brought to our table, but not until after everyone else had finished eating. One person had to eat their meal alone, while everyone else in our party sat there, plates finished. The person who"d ordered the spaghetti could not dine with the rest of the group, as it took 20 or 30 minutes to recieve the spaghetti order after all of the other meals had been served, & everyone else was finished eating by the time the spaghetti was brought to the table. Unbelievably unprofessional service. Massively unimpressed: kitchen could not produce a standard dish: spaghetti with meat sauce, without undue and...
