My friends and I went to this restaurant after a fun filled day through the national park and after eating here I have to say that this was a extremely terrible eating experience.
We ordered two veggie pizzas, a salad, and a vegan chilly.
There was an issue with everything we ordered:
Pizza - the pizza was undercooked and was visibly raw. After taking one bite it was obvious that this was not edible. We requested the waitress to take the pizza back to be cooked more. After a few moments, the head chef/manager came out and started to argue with us that the pizza "looked" doughy but wasn't actually raw. She also rudely asked "have you ever had a pizza in Canada" which made the whole conversation very displeasant and quite racist. The pizza was soggy, and the cheese was slipping and slimey. We have no issues with the pizza being taken back and being recooked, but the lack of accountability and apology for the experience really made us upset.
Salad - the salad felt like it was put together without much thought. There was mushrooms in the salad and the mushrooms were cut like a pizza topping. When the waitress brought the salad out, she asked my friend which sauce he wanted on his salad. When he asked for options, she replied with " I don't know". This was a very common theme during our time eating there. It's understandable the waitress may not know the menu but no effort was made to ask or inquire.
Vegan chilly - dry, and the portion was the size of my palm for which a 17 dollar price was unjustified. Both quality and quantity were non existent.
While eating, the waitress asked us multiple times if we were ready for the bill. We literally had just ordered the food and it was quite obvious that they wanted us out of the restaurant.
Summary - undercooked pizza, rude, ignorant, and extreme customer dissatisfaction.
Stay away.
P.S a good note, very...
Read moreSmall restaurant, had the AC shut off, it was high 20's inside. Overpriced and greasy. Best part were the onion rings. Fish and chips tasted like old oil, french fries were burnt black and still very soft. Lemonade was good. Friend had the fishcakes, little to no fish in them. He paid for fried potatoes. Red haired staff sounded annoyed from the moment we arrived, the rest of the staff acted like they didn't want to be there at all. Won't be back. Won't recommend. PS tartar sauce is some off brand, tastes like mayonnaise...bland mayonnaise.
FOR THE OWNER: I don't know how to reply to your business's reply, but I didn't say the waitress was annoying, I said she acted like she was annoyed from the moment we walked in. Like she didn't want people there. I didn't finish my food. I pulled the small amount of fish out of the batter because we were starving after a hike and driving half a day and more then half the fries were left on my plate. And yes your choice of tartar sauce is trash. It's warm bland mayo. One at our table requested relish to make his own. Also I don't return food, when you have a small menu, I assume you know how to cook it, if not and if it's gross, I'm gonna say it's gross. And it was. Also I believe they accused my 2 friends of discrimination against the red haired waitress by calling her annoying, but in reality I said she SEEMED ANNOYED, it's different. Also the table toppers ask for reviews, this is ours. The table next to us also said the garden salad was disgusting and they left shortly after starting to eat, so we weren't the only ones not enjoying the meal. Also the two comments the restaurant made also accused them both of things not in their reviews, as well, one had done 1 review (on this place) and one has done 4. How is that a habit of giving...
Read moreOk so first things first… if you ever come to a small town and the options are not plentiful, but you expect to be in and out… this is not fair to the small business. When we arrived there were only 4 people sitting at tables, when we left there were over 20. Yes the food took a while to get out. Bank on 30 mins at least to receive your food. The service from staff was awesome. Remember that they are only a couple of young’ns. They did a great job. We are from Toronto and this place is away from all the hustle and bustle, but we were very happy to have dinner here. Food was great, beers were plentiful and the atmosphere is that of a family owned restaurant. My family and I enjoyed the food. I had the Angie’s Nor’easter burger which is a must… just a good change from all the seafood if you are looking for that. My wife had the chicken wrap and kids had fingers and another burger. You won’t be disappointed eating here, but timing will be everything as it will get busy. There is a some Construction in the are and once they are done work, they all come here to eat. Get here slightly before 5pm and you should be good ;)
Look, if you are coming here be patient, be kind and be grateful that you have a family that is willing to feed you when other places are closed in the area. Mondays and Tuesdays seem to be hit or miss with availability. This place wasn’t and I would...
