We stumbled upon Harvest Rd. – Farm to Table Grill and Cafe while driving from Victoria to Sidney to catch the ferry, and what an amazing surprise it was! We found it on the map and decided to give it a try — and we’re so glad we did.
We ordered two grilled burgers, a side of fries, and a couple of local sodas. Everything was super fresh and full of flavor. The burgers were perfectly grilled, juicy, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The fries were crispy and seasoned just right, and the local sodas were a fun and tasty touch — something different from the usual brands.
The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with friendly staff who made us feel right at home. It really felt like a hidden gem — farm-to-table done right.
Whether you're just passing through or looking for a great bite near Sidney, we definitely recommend stopping here. Great food, great people, and a perfect stop on the way...
Read moreThis food truck is the real deal. The burger? Absolute perfection—juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right with a great sear. You can tell they’re using quality beef, which is a huge win. Toppings were fresh and balanced—no one flavor overwhelmed the others.
But the real surprise? The Kennebec fries. Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, and perfectly salted. You can taste the difference with Kennebec potatoes—clean, earthy, and incredibly satisfying. They might just be the best fries I’ve ever had from a food truck (or anywhere, honestly).
And do not skip the house-made habanero sauce. It’s the perfect combo of heat and flavor—spicy enough to kick things up, but still balanced so you can taste all the layers. It takes the fries to a whole new level.
Service was fast and friendly, and the whole setup feels thoughtful and dialed in. If you’re craving a seriously good burger and fries, don’t...
Read moreHarvest Rd. Is a true example of farm to table as it is literally situated on Michells farm where they get most of their fresh ingredients from. The amazingly flavourful beef and the vegetables are from the surrounding five hundred acres that is Michells farm. Even the food wraps, trays and utensils are composted on site and reintroduced into the fields of the farm via their huge composting operation just down the road. The burgers we had were one of the best I’ve eaten, and believe me, I’ve eaten a lot of burgers. The fries were thick and hand pulled; Deep fried to perfection. The coleslaw was fresh and refreshing. Chatting with the owners, Jenni and Brendan was fantastic, hearing their story and seeing their pride in what they do really made the whole meal an experience.
