Level Ground Coffee Roasters & Roastery Café — Restaurant in Central Saanich

GREAT TASTING DECAF COFFEE - CANNOT TELL IT'S DECAF!! I recently (because of minor health issues), had to switch to Gluten Free and start drinking Decaf coffee. It's really hard to find Decaf ground coffee on the shelves here in Moose Jaw SK and haven't been pleased with the "low quality" brands and the "better quality" brands as they are very bitter tasting.  I came across Level Ground Decaf in our local Walmart and thought I would try it as I am kind of a "coffee snob" and didn't want "cheap" or "bitter" brands or blends.  WOW!  Level Ground Decaf is exactly what I was looking for and because of the quality taste and smoothness, I can't even tell it's Decaf!  I love that it's Organic, Fair Trade and Gluten Free as well! I’m originally from the West Coast of the US but have also lived in the Midwest, including Wisconsin. While I was living on Vancouver Island and later opened a coffee shop in Victoria, I was amazed to find that the coffee there tasted just like my favorite spot back in Wisconsin. After moving to the Vancouver area a few years ago, I ran into a bit of confusion. I was searching for Level Ground coffee beans at Costco and London Drugs but couldn’t find them. It turns out that Level Ground had changed their label, which is why I missed them. I wanted to let you know that the new packaging doesn’t stand out as much. Wonderful coffee experience that arguably should be on a local coffee tour given their long legacy of best industry practice.

The facility is terrific and really takes customer needs and wishes into account. This starts with their beautiful patio that takes full advantage of their view and includes a bicycle repair stand. It continues through their dedicated tasting room that doubles as a special event and meeting space. And carries on through their clean, plentiful and accessible washrooms.

As one would expect, their drinks are well composed and milk steamed with skill. We did not try the tasting flight, but this more than justifies a return trip.

The paper muffin cups on the brioche donuts were sincerely appreciated.
