Tundra Pub — Restaurant in Churchill

I’ve been to this place twice. The first time was fine, service was good and food was okay but overpriced. Second time was a very different experience. The guy behind the bar first came out on his phone, didn’t even notice I was there. I almost walked out after that because it’s just rude and unprofessional to be on your phone where customers can see you, especially when you ignore them. The only reason I stayed was because I was hungry and this was the only place still open. Food and drinks arrived very quickly, no issues there. But then, not even half way through my second drink, the same guy as before asked if I was ready for the bill. This really took me by surprise as most places will do anything to get you to stay longer and spend more money. I could’ve easily said no I’m not ready for the bill but the question made me feel very rushed and uncomfortable and at that point I just wanted to leave. Not a...

The food at Tundra Inn is great, very quality with a varied menu to choose from. Being a vegan visiting Churchill, I wasn't expecting to find anything amazing - I was completely surprised by this spot. The Borealis burger came recommended and I will re-recommend it to anyone looking for a veggie meal! Great flavors and toppings, I scarfed it down quickly with yam fries and barbecue sauce. They also have a vegetable curry that I was tempted to try but didn't get a chance to (next time?). Service was attentive and nice. The place filled up quickly with the dinner crowd (we came early, before the your groups). Our recent visit to The Tundra Pub was truly exceptional, thanks to our wonderful server, Alita. She made our group of 6 from Gillam feel comfortable and welcomed throughout our visit!

Alita ensured our food intolerances (and tolerances) were met and ensured our (wine) glasses stayed full!

Her attentiveness was remarkable—she anticipated our needs without being intrusive and always had a friendly smile and entertaining conversation. Alita’s positive and friendly energy made our evening memorable.
