Boston Pizza — Restaurant in City of Cold Lake

The value of the food at any Boston Pizza is never really good to begin with, but at least the food is generally consistent. My real problem with this local BP's is that I went there after work to watch Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Winnipeg vs Minnesota. The first 2 periods, they had the game on in the lounge side with the volume and everything was great. I was looking forward to watching the entire game, and staying to drink and watch the Vegas Knights game afterwards.

Well, the 3rd period starts and the management decides to mute the volume so that they can play their weekly musical trivia poker night instead. I did ask my server who the retarded manager was that decided a local music night was more important than letting the VERY FULL lounge stay and watch game 1 of the playoffs.

Needless to say, I paid my bill after 1 beer, went and met my group of friends elsewhere to enjoy playoff hockey.

To Management Directly - Playoff Hockey is more important, not to mention a larger revenue generator, than some stupid local "Guess That Tune" game. Please figure it out as I won't be back unless I can watch an entire playoff game. Please note that the playoffs will be for the next 6...

On August 22 I took some athletes to BP for dinner. We planned to meet there for 4:30 to take advantage of your happy hour prices for the appetizers. We ordered the bandara bread and cactus cut fries prior to ordering the two pizzas. When ordering the apps, I pointed to the two choices on the Happy Hour Menu. When the bill came out, I had been charged full price (which is over double) the amount for both the apps. I politely mentioned it to the employee who provided us with the bill. She left, came back and told me that we had been given the regular size appetizers so didn’t qualify for the happy hour price. She did say, however, they would give us a small discount for the inconvenience. When I told her that we had arrived and ordered during happy hour, using the happy hour menu, she told me that the server who took our order was new and likely didn’t realize. As I was there with a younger audience and was treating them to supper, I didn’t escalate the matter further. I don’t like Boston pizza. It’s overpriced. It’s low quality. My ribs were still frozen. When I was 10years old my novice hockey team went here after a tournament and me and my teammates opted to order hot wings as a challenge to ourselves. Little did we know these wings would ruin our young souls… our lives. I was on track to play in the olympics by age 14 but these hot clobbered me. I took a bite. My heart began to race. I fell out of my booth. I felt my muscles tear in both my quads. That wasn’t why I quit hockey tho. It was covid that made me me quit. I guess the hot wings didn’t really destroy my hockey career however the same cannot be said for my other friends as years after this day one of them started to cheer for the Calgary flames and at this point we knew the fire he felt in his tongue as a young soul had migrated to his brain.
