O2's Cold Lake — Restaurant in City of Cold Lake

I liked this place and our group came here for many wing nights and other nights ( taco night and appy night). Tonight was the worst dining experience I’ve had in Cold Lake and I’ve lived here for a long time. We came for the wings and sat down. The music was quite loud and we had to raise our voices to talk to each other across the table. I asked the server if the music could be turned down. She left and came back to take our orders and she had trouble hearing us and us hearing her. I asked her if she get the music turned down again. I said, if not we will go somewhere else as we couldn’t talk to each other. We got our drinks and the glasses were dirty. Mine had a crack in it. We showed our server and her comment was” that’s disgusting “. She took our drinks away and then the music ramped up again. We had enough now. Went to tell the server and bartender that to cancel our orders and we were going else where. Bartender and manager didn’t care and told us basically nothing is wrong and they didn’t care. Never going back but I guess they don’t need our business because they didn’t care. Sad. UPDATE The owner reached out to me and we had a discussion on what happened. He told me that he has talked to his staff about it and assured me that it won't happen again. He apologized for their actions and that is all you can ask for. Hopefully things improve...

I recently ordered takeout from the restaurant. The ambiance inside was absolutely lovely—elegant décor and a very inviting atmosphere. While waiting for my order, I had the pleasure of meeting the restaurant’s manager. He was incredibly kind and welcoming, making sure I felt attended to and comfortable. Not only did he greet me with a friendly smile, but he personally handed me my food, which was a nice touch of hospitality.

As for the food itself, it exceeded my expectations. I opted for the pulled pork sandwich, and I must say, the portion was generous. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, making every bite a delight. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and it's clear that a lot of thought and care went into the preparation.

The server was not accommodating and doesn’t have a knowledge about the rules of the restaurant. We asked her if we can go inside the restaurant when it rains since we were in the patio, She said: “Yes” because it was just me and my one friend even though it was prohibited due to the pandemic. When it started to rain we carry our food to go inside the restaurant, The captain waitress told us that we can’t go inside because of the Alberta rules that we can only stay outdoor dine-in (We understood about that). So me and my friend decided to eat in the car and will just take the food that we order with us. When we asked for the bill, The server charged me the ginger-ale that I didn’t drink and couldn’t take it with me because they didn’t have take out cups.
