Mary Brown's Chicken — Restaurant in City of Lloydminster

My first time here. Pretty good chicken sandwich & taters! I had the Big Mary with spicy mayo, and a Dr. Pepper. It hit the spot! There was a slice of pickle on top of the bun.. I’m not sure why it’s supposed to be outside of the sandwich, if you’re supposed to snack on it first, but I kept it on top & ate it when I got to it as part of a neat first experience. Maybe next time I’ll snack it first. The only thing I’d maybe change is more batter on the taters as to better soak up the vinegar, but that’s more personal taste. We travel often through Lloyd and thought we’d try fried chicken this time. The reviews seemed pretty good so we chose Mary Brown’s. I have to say it was a huge disappointment. The staff were nice but the food was very sub par. We ordered from the app and were there right at the time it indicated it would be ready. It was barely warm and the waffle potatoes were soggy, as well as the chicken. And greasy… ! The coleslaw was bland and the macaroni salad was very sweet. I’m not sure if we had a very very off day but we definitely won’t be back. Other franchise options in Lloyd have wayyy better fresh...

The staff were super nice and the food was good, but I ordered 3 of the small chicken burgers (on the menu they looks like a smaller chicken sandwich) but it was just a chicken tender in what looked like a top half of a burger bun. Nothing against the store at all, but super misleading on the menu (I know it never looks like the pictures, but thst was a total flop for almost $5 each!).
