Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — Restaurant in Clarenville

I went in around 5 o’clock, the place was packed with staff — easily 10 of them or more. It wasn’t even that busy, just a regular evening rush.

I ordered two Spicy Big Marys with extra spicy mayo and no pickles.

First order comes out and both are mild. Went back up, they remake it, and the next ones come out with pickles and regular mayo. At that point I had a long drive ahead and no time to wait around for a third try.

The staff were rude and ignorant, making faces any time you asked for something. I could see them remaking my order and they were literally slamming the boxes down on the counter, which just felt disrespectful.

The team clearly has zero restaurant service skills and very poor communication skills. Overall, a terrible experience. Won’t be stopping in here again...

Stopped by to pick up a meal late Thursday past. Issue with using the App late 10:30pm and couldn’t purchase the meal at a reduced deal price. Staff couldn’t adjust the price from $24.99 to $18.99 because the App was done. Still purchased the meal as this restaurant has great service and great tasting/quality food.

Called the restaurant to mention the concern and was met with great customer service from Manager Robin. She heard my concern and explained how the App is not controlled by the store. She quickly resolved my concern in an extremely courteous manner.

I went to the drive through at Mary Browns on Thursday, July 24th 2025 to place an order in Clarenville, NL I want to make sure this lady named Michelle who took my order gets acknowledged for her wonderful customer service. She took my order, repeated it back to me. I got to the wicket and again, she greets me with a smile, repeats my order and shows the most kind respectful attitude that makes customers keep going back there. I asked her what her name was and told her I wanted to write up a review on her kind service. Michelle is definitely a great asset to your location in Clarenville, NL.
