I normally don’t go out of my way to leave a negative review. I will start by saying the waiter was friendly. Ordered the roast beef dinner. The soup came first I believe it was supposed to be beef and barley. Not much meat in it but what there was looked like pork if I had to try to identify it. Looked almost like the bacon crumble you see on pizza literally couldn’t eat it. After hearing a ding and a microwave door slam shut came the roast beef and mashed potatoes which both had the smallest portions I have ever seen in a restaurant. The mashed potatoes were not good worse than instant potatoes, the roast beef was dry and chewy and there was some random veg on the side (didn’t try that part) even the gravy was rough, and finally it came with a cube of carrot cake (dry and cold). Massive menu for this place seems like they have everything you can think of. Even my Pepsi was flat and tasted funny. A suggestion to the owner would be to maybe shrink the menu way way way down in size and just focus in on the quality on a smaller menu so that it is more manageable to pull off. If they did they I would give it another chance.
I did ask the waiter if the roast beef was cooked in the microwave he said no that it is cooked in the morning and sits until ordered (7PM in this case) then cooked in a pan in gravy. Microwave for sure got used though so not sure for what… we were also the only people in there at the time so it wasn’t for someone...
Read moreUsually I would give this place a 4 star. Today we came in for breakfast and something had obviously changed. My brother ordered a steak sandwich, I don’t know about you but usually on a steak sandwich I look for some onions, peppers and maybe a nice aioli? He ordered his steak medium rare. What he received was two massive chibatta buns and what was the thinnest price of grey spongy looking steak I have ever seen. Rightfully so, he did not eat his meal - only the salad that he ordered with it for an up charge of 6$. When I went to pay for our meals his salad was the only thing on his bill (8$). I was confused however why they even had him pay for the salad after having been unhappy with the main portion of his meal. Regardless, I asked why the salad was 8$ rather than the 6$ stated in the menu (I know 2$ not a big deal but at this point I was upset) The waitress said “the cost of the salad with the meal is 6$, he did not have a meal” OH YOU DON’T SAY. He did have a meal, he wasn’t able to eat. Some hot takes being thrown around. This was our favourite breakfast spot, we would go out of the way to come HERE....
Read moreWent here with 3 adults and 1 baby. We asked for a high chair and was told to go get it our self it was in the back. Never had to go get a high chair our self before when at a restaurant. Our waitress was not friendly and never came back to see if we needed anything else. The 2 waitresses just stood at the bar staring at us and everyone else the whole time. Anyways we ordered 2 Greek burgers and souvlaki with fries...the Greek burgers came very over cooked, almost burnt and had hardly any tzatziki or feta on it with one little slice of tomato. We asked for more tzatziki because it was dry and later realized that she wanted to charge us extra for it. We asked her why we should have to pay for it when the burger hardly had any on it? she rudely refused to take it off our bill. That's fine, didn't want to cause a scene over a little bit of tzatziki. Also had coffee and it came Luke warm. The over priced $7 small fries were not bad though. Overall we will never go back to this place again. The service and food was horrible and it's all very overpriced for what you get....
