The Bittmore Tap & Grill — Restaurant in Clarington

Walked in with the fam jam right in time for happy hour beer after a long day of work, we arrived at 4:45pm with plenty of time to order a beer. We were finally seated and still had 6 mins to spare as we sat in our seats. The waitress finally decides to wait on us and the time is 5:00pm. I said can we get two beers before the happy hour ends, she looks at her watch and says... sorry it's now 5:01pm.

We walked right out and we won't be coming back.

It's not about the savings it's about the principal. We love this place, we are here every other week. I asked my brother to join us and his neice and nephew for dinner, my brother is from Scarborough and he came all this way and try their amazing steak vodka dill meal. We were planning on spending at least $100 and we always tip well. It's unfortunate they couldn't honor that deal as I was there on time with plenty of time to spare, they weren't that busy either and there was a ton of waitresses.

update July 8th

Just had to try Bitmore again the other night, the waitress had almost 0 interest in saying “hi” and 0 care in waiting on me, which blows my mind since that is the “actually job” of a waitress. Walked away disappointed.

So today, I live pretty much behind The Bitmore Pub but I’m walking to The Courtyard Pub today to enjoy the patio with beer and wings.

Sorry Bitmore, your waitresses have atrocious customer service skills, they are rude and lazy. Will not be coming back to Bitmore for a very long time. Hire new staff that actually smile, are friendly and actually want to serve...

We’ve been here a few times — Thursdays for their wing specials. We sat outside on the patio and at the time, there was one other table outside.

We ordered Irish nachos (they were out of the lattice fries) so we asked for regular nachos with Irish toppings (we received regular nachos) So, with food and drinks on the table, wasps saw it as an invite. Since I have a severe allergy to them, I asked the server if we could put a small container of juice or pop in the corner of the empty patio to draw them away. She returned a minute later and said the bartender said we can’t do that. No logic.

In any event, I know the risks sitting outside with wasps and food. Wings came we ordered another beer and it happened - I swatted and the wasp got me. Next to a pharmacy was helpful, so we went inside immediately + my sister asked our food be packed up because I was having an allergic reaction to the wasp. NO urgency.

Not one person asked if we needed anything. Bill came, paid, left our completely filled beers and left. The service is mediocre at best and not wanting to at the very least entertain a wasp trap on a patio at the request of a paying guest is odd …

Not sure the wing specials are worth this place anymore. Sure they’re fine, fries are frozen, nothing special — but patios in the summer are always a nice bonus (just not this time!)

I want to recognize the customer care service I was provided by Julianne Ware! The owners should be very pleased with the extra mile Julianne went for my personal request! I live in Park City, Utah and my family is celebrating a combination of my oldest brother's birthday on December 31, 2019 and welcoming in the New Year 2020! There were 14 people attending the luncheon at Bittmore's and I wanted to order champagne for my family. I called on Saturday, December 21st and lucky for me Julianne answered the phone. I told her my story about wanting and she said that unfortunately, Bittmore's doesn't have champagne or sparkling wine on the menu. Then she continued to say that she would be more than happy to buy the champagne at a local LCBO and have one of her colleagues present it to my family on December 31st as she was not working that day! Within 5 minutes, I got all her information and transferred the funds into her account. A couple of days later she was at the LCBO in Courtice and sent me a photo of the champagne she purchased! I was simply blown away by her kindness and thoughtfulness. Only in Canada could something so amazing happen! I'm visiting my family in April and plan to stop by and thank Julianne in person! Happy...
