Creemore Bakery — Restaurant in Clearview

In town for the day to do some exploring.

Great spot for a drink and a treat. There are so many delicious desserts to choose from. They all look amazing I wanted to buy one of each!

The staff are also super friendly and helpful. It was a warm day and we had dinner reservations before leaving Creemore so we were concerned about leaving the lemon meringue in the car since it should be refrigerated. The staff offered to hold our purchase for us so we could come back and pick it up before our dinner. It was so kind of them to offer. On top of it, even though our dinner reservations was at 4:30pm which is after the bakery is closed, they still said it was no problem because they would still be on site cleaning and to just knock on the door and they would bring our items out. Talk about amazing customer service! Thank you so much for making our day in Creemore that much more memorable and enjoyable! 🥰

The tarts we bought were also soo good. The shortbread crust on both the meringue and the pecan tart is so yummy. It was nice to try a different take on a pecan tart with the bourbon flavour. We will definitely make it a point to stop in again the next time we are even remotely close to Creemore. Would highly recommend...

Busy long weekend, so fair enough that there’s a wait but… we ordered sandwiches and then after about 40 min we were still patiently waiting at our table, then realized that several groups who had come in after us had been getting their food orders. We asked about our order and were met with confusion, then we were told that they lost our order. Fine - we sat back down and waited, and then people that had come after us still continued to be served. We asked again and were told that someone else must have taken our food. We said that regardless, once we had told them we didn’t receive our order they should have completed our order (sandwiches!) before continuing down the list with people who we had arrived 40 min prior to… The response was “it takes a while for me to cut the ham” - when we said we have hungry children we had a plate of croissants angrily thrown down on the counter. All around delightful service…. Other patrons were apologizing to us that they had been served before us, yet no apology from the staff, and a clear untruth that someone had “stolen” our food. Although the snack that my girlfriend and I had was a light one, this place never ceases to disappoint. Prior to Covid I came here often, but I noticed afterwards it was closed for a while. On my way through Creemore this past week, I was surprised to see it open, and it was better than I remembered. My girlfriend and I loved the quality of food as well as the price ($7 for a Large Hot Cocoa and a properly homemade Ginger Cookie is really quite a deal, especially considering how fresh it is vs. something like Starbucks or Tim Hortons). Most amazingly - the cup sleeves that had been drawn on by local junior elementary school students in a Christmas theme. There is nothing, anywhere, at all at ANY price point that feels as special or as warm as that. I’m so glad to see them back open and I’m looking forward to visiting again many more times with my partner...
