Cordial Restaurant — Restaurant in Clinton

We had the pleasure of meeting Robert, the owner of this family-run restaurant. He was incredibly kind and had some amazing life stories to share — definitely one of the highlights of our visit!

We ordered a few items:

Spicy Chicken Sandwich

The chicken tasted like it had been steamed and then seasoned with spices. It seemed to be marinated in lemon, which made it very juicy. I personally enjoyed it, although the lemon flavor was a bit strong for my taste (I’m not a big fan of lemon). As for the spice level — it wasn’t spicy at all, which was perfect for me 😊

Crispy Chicken Sandwich

This one was spot on! Perfectly crispy without being greasy or oily, and it had a satisfying crunch. It came with fries, which were also nice. Poutine We’ve traveled through 8 Canadian provinces and tried poutine in nearly every one — and this was honestly one of the best we’ve had! It wasn’t overly salty, and the cheese curds were soft and fresh, not rubbery. A perfect take on a Canadian classic!

Well first of all I was hungry passing through Clinton and was about to eat here but changed my mind when a large group of teens went in just before me . Nobody was wearing a mask and nobody was checked for a vaccine card . This must be an ani vax place I thought to myself . no masks and did not check for vaccine card .Makes me mad how uneducated people defy the rules and endanger others around them with their ignorance.. very small confined dining room and when a dozen teens showed up for pizza with no masks and no social distancing .I decided to eat somewhere else . They were not following any covid rules . I mentioned this to a passerby and they said they know , then they told me that when they went in for a meal once when it was empty , but they couldnt enjoy their meal either because because the cook was in their face talking to them when they where...

Recently found myself in Clinton, a place where options for 'non-bar foods' seemed scarce. That was until we stumbled upon Cordial Restaurant—a hidden gem in this faraway region. The first visit was for breakfast, and the service was incredible. Greeted with genuine smiles, we felt immediately welcomed.

We were so impressed that we planned to return for dinner. Although we arrived past their closing hour due to work commitments, the Cordial team graciously reopened their kitchen to whip up some Filipino cuisine that was absolutely to die for.
