TLDR; 15/10, phenomenal food, wide selection of beverages, incredibly welcoming and friendly service.
If you had told me a month ago that the classiest spot in the Tri-Towns was in Cobalt I would have laughed aggressively in your face. However, I would have been embarrassingly wrong. Let me start with the food.
Their menu is extensive and everchanging. Lola bakes fresh every morning and every option exceeds expectations. Alot of places you say to someone "You should go here, they have really good __.". That simply cannot be utilized here, because the most accurate statement would be "You should go to The Lavender Fox, they have really good everything.". Next I will touch on the beverages.
They have a tea for everybody, whether you like it dark and bitter or light and fruity there is something there that will really impress. Even for those who don't normally enjoy tea, I garuantee there is something to satisfy your individual taste and preferences.
Finally, and most importantly the service. Lola and Alex are an absolute delight. You will not find a friendlier pair anywhere in Temiskaming, and quite possibly anywhere. They are very knowledgable about their products, and eager to share their wealth of knowledge with you. Not to mention how visibly hard they work to make sure every customer has a standout experience.
Truly would recommend to anybody, and will be the first place I bring friends and family who visit from out of town when I want to impress. Run, don't walk, to The...
Read moreThe atmosphere is charming, the owners are lovely people, and the service was great despite being very busy at the time. There was a good selection of baked goods which were very fresh and tasty. We also tried the caramelized onion bean dip which was also good, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was the option of gluten free crackers. You can tell that the owners took their time to find a high-quality, flavorful selection of teas. Under each type of tea there are several flavors to choose from. If you drink coffee, do not worry because there is a good quality coffee on the menu too. An added surprise was a lovely gift shop at the back of the store where you can purchase teas, jams, snacks, condiments, and gift items. We will be back whenever we...
Read moreWell worth the stop! I was visiting my cousin up in Cobalt and he had mentioned about this new unique tea shop. If that hadn’t peaked my interest the name “The Lavender Fox” sure did. I love when shops are someone’s dream brought to life. From the outside the place beckons a closer look. Fun Fact: the building is a decommissioned and refurbished mine shaft. Stepping in is an experience in its own. The place is filled with character and class. Cozy and calming. The owners are friendly and passionate. We had a two different green teas and deserts. All were amazing. I took a dessert for a friend and she was stoked enough to post about. Thanks for creating your dreams to share with others and inspiring us all to...
