Ok chumps listen up.

I'll start by saying, tipping $25 was well worth the 'stupidity' for the experience i was given.

The food, was one minor insignificant flaw from perfect, and the issue was just a touch too much 'greasy taste' in the batter, but it was SOOOOOOOOOO minor that one could excuse it greatly.

The Waiter's and Waitress's never stop smiling, being friendly and curtious, and overall providing an entertainment service unseen in modern restaurants of of late.

The food was very filling, very enjoyable, and my gods that gravy is just PHENOMENAL!

In the end, my Daughter, my Fiancee, and I sat, ate, and have a fantastic experience from the second we walked into the door, to the moment we left. We cared not about how long we sat, but myself believes it wasn't anymore than 45 minutes, which is fantastic considering it takes me 45 minutes to make a good cheeseburger at home. (not the best cook AT ALL!)

Our Bill was $66.67, or $67 rounded for 5 plates of food.

I will be going back, as often as I can. Well done Captain George Fish and Chips, you impressed even the most stubborn of critics of your quality, experience, and favor-ability. An Experience at a restaurant I've not had in near twelve years! Again, well done! You honestly...

I tagged along with a friend to do some maintenance on his cottage and, on our way back home, we stopped for a late lunch at a place that he recommended, Captain George's Fish & Chips.

He ordered the fish & chips but I forgot what type of fish (haddock, cod, or other). It looked really good, with a decent size piece of fish, chunky fries, and coleslaw.

Wanting something different, I ordered the gyros dinner, served with fries, Greek salad, and tzatziki. The salad was good and the fries were nice and crispy but I was a little disappointed with the gyros. Instead of the freshly carved cones of meat off a rotisserie, it was pre sliced pieces of meat, kinda like what you might buy in a supermarket. It wasn't bad but not what I expected from a restaurant.

Lesson learned. When at a fish & chips restaurant in cottage country, order the...

Food is great, service is great, prices are great!

The food is always cooked right and never greasy (which for deep fried fish, is amazing).

Service is amazing. They actually seem like they want to be there, check up regularly (but not too much to be annoying), and are quick to spot refills needed for drinks. As a side note Sheldon is above and beyond good. He is ALWAYS cheerful and makes the experience that much better, deserves a raise for sure!

Prices are great, best prices in town, even cheaper then chain restaurants. Their burgers are way under priced for how good they are.

EDIT (Nov 10/22): Sheldon no longer works there, which is a bit of a bummer. However food and prices are still very good. This place deserves more business, it seems like they actually care about putting out good food at...

We have eaten here twice this summer and where they swear they're serving us halibut, I am 99.9% sure it's haddock. I called and asked specifically last time and they swore it was halibut but I know halibut and this again, is not halibut. Halibut is very white, very firm and tastes almost like chicken where haddock is more opaque, not as white and doesn't have the same texture that halibut does. I know the difference and I'm tired of paying halibut prices for haddock. Not that there's anything wrong with haddock but I paid for halibut so that's what I expected to receive. It's really not that hard to tell the difference.

Been passing by this place every summer. My husband loves fish and chips. Ordered a seafood platter consisting of fish, shrimps, scallops (ran out on our platter 😑), onion rings, salad to share. Good portion and worth the price. Sheldon (the cashier, server, etc, all in one) is very jovial and friendly. He makes us feel so welcome. Not at all rush to have a nice and enjoyable meal.
