A&W Canada — Restaurant in Comox

I have deep doubts about the character of some of the waiters in this restaurant. Yesterday, my wife and I ordered two meals with coupons at this restaurant. Mama combo for $5.99 and mozza BGRS for $8.99. When I checked out, it was $18.20. My wife said the amount was wrong, so I asked for the receipt. I found that I was overcharged for a mama burger at $2.35. I asked the waitress why, and she said it might be taxes. I don't agree. I also know what the tax rate is and where it should be displayed. She had no choice but to call a waitress to explain. She said that my order of mama combo did not include the price of hamburgers. Of course, I disagreed with this explanation. So they called another male employee, probably the manager. He looked at the cashier's computer for a long time and asked me what I wanted. I said that if the price is wrong, I need a refund. He asked the second waitress to give me a refund. The waitress only gave me a refund of $2. Of course I didn't agree. The waitress asked the male employee again. she gave me another 80cents. The service has deteriorated recently and I'm being charged $1.05 more for what I had been getting for $8.61. Today I ordered 2 pieces of chicken, fries and coleslaw and NOTHING to drink. The person taking my order said :"you want 5 pieces of chicken?' I said "No, I said I want 2 pieces of chicken, fries and coleslaw and nothing to drink" Now they are adding Tap Water to the order and the price goes up from $8.61 to $9.66 when they add a drink. They claim that the extra $1.05 pays for the fries and the coleslaw and the drink. This makes no sense at all ... they add Tap Water (which is not delivered because I don't want it) but I'm charged for it. How can tap water cost as much as Root Beer or other pop? When I got the order home, the fries were about half of what is usually served and there was no coleslaw but instead I got Macaroni Salad and since I'm diabetic Macaroni Salad is too high in carbs on top of the fries so I couldn't eat it. I wish I didn't like their chicken so much. It's a longer drive to get to the one over on Cliff but I may do that ... the Guthrie one is less than 5 minutes from home but I've about had it with their being out of chicken frequently and all the other stuff .. and apparently it's under new management. Had a terrible dine in experience yesterday. Me and a friend ordered the yam fries, witch are $5.20 now! When the waitress brought our fries, my friends were basically empty with a couple fries in the basket. Mine had mostly burned ones that I couldn't eat. We asked her to remake them and she only brought one basket of fries. Again, they didn't look like there was much in them and alot of small burnt ones. I asked her that I also asked for mine to be remade. She said that's all she could do and rolled her eyes at me. I've had bad experiences at this a and w in the past, but this was the last time I'll ever support this location. I've never had such awful customer service.
