If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would; this place is terrible! I've never needed to go buy myself something to eat somewhere else after spending 2 hours in a restaurant before... and I mean, EVERY possible front: kitchen went beyond well-done on my steak sandwich, and served my infant daughter literally cold chicken soup; bar took over half an hour to take a cap off a bottle of beer for my friend (just the main example on the drink front); waitress... well, she apparently WAS the supervisor on staff (apparently the last Saturday of the Bridgewater exhibition didn't warrant a manager on staff???). Took over half an hour just to get drinks, our appetizers came a solid 45 minutes later (Right before our food, and for which she tossed immediate blame at the kitchen for their "timing being off tonight"), didn't ask why I wasn't eating my my main course (or how anything was; her third visit to the table I told her it was cooked to insanity) didn't offer to get me anything else, didn't care about giving my 1 year old chicken soup which sat out long enough to get completely cold because she forgot to bring it out (apparently the kitchen tried to reheat it, but not too much... I certainly hope not for how cold it still was!), we also needed to ask for enough cutlery, and ketchup for my son's fries. She also walked away from me mid-sentence at one point; I tried to remain polite and respectful in each interaction. She at least took my meal, my daughter's soup, and our appetizers off the bill... so, I can honestly say I will never eat there again, did not tip (for probably the first time ever), and it was the worst service I've ever received. In the end, I had a Harvey's burger in the car on the way home... moral of the story, save yourself the trouble and just go...
Read moreAfter spending the past 20 years in Toronto, I've visited BPs plenty of times and though the ratio of server to tables is essentially the same, I had noticed here that the timeliness of service was not as efficient in the past. That itself, in conjunction with the fact that one evening a friend & I visited this town's BP and Google had the hours of operation reading an hour later than it apparently was; a manager there informed us that the kitchen's closed and Google "hasn't called their restaurant to update the hours yet". I simply informed her that, as a business owner myself, I can confirm that Google does not have a call centre of which reaches out to the thousands of businesses around individually to ensure hours are correct and so that is in fact the responsibility of the establishment itself online. She however doubled down that she was accurate on this subject and displayed unwarranted attitude. My friend & I each said that we'll most likely never return after that strange interaction...
Fast forward 6 months later, the other evening my wife really wanted to visit this restaurant again and so we went; I felt compelled to leave a Review. Faith, restored our faith in visiting our local BP. I cannot recall a time in the past year, eating at a restaurant in Toronto nor the East Coast itself, where we have received such solid service from an individual. Faith was so genuinely nice, that it was transparent to tell it was not just a customer service mask someone has on at work itself. She is authentically friendly, engaging, courteous, and an all around pleasure to chat with in general. My wife & I were truly impressed by how sincerely great of a server she is. Thanks so...
