Hi , I use to enjoy Swiss Chalet as it was a nice alternative from the old KFC chicken. However my recent visit to the Bridgewater location was disappointing to say the least . The service was poor, It almost made you feel line it was a total inconvenience to take a server your order .. the next delight was the presentation of the meal on the plate , I had the chicken dinner , just look like it had been thrown on the plate , at the time of the meal it was not overly busy , so I think a little more attention to the presentation of the meal could have been made . But after tasting the meal I guess I can understand, the fries an dipping sauce where cold , fries tasted like they where cooked in old oil , chicken was luke warm at best , the waitress came by about half way through the meal to ask how everything was , I told her about the fries an the sauce , she apologized an said she would be back , she came back when we where just about done an asked if we would like anything else .. my reply was just the bill .. I don’t know how this place stays open , very disappointing experience, when paying for a dinning out experience there is a certain expectation of quality.. this place lacked in all of it , maybe their corporate management should take a look at this franchise.....

We waited just over 40 minutes, while watching everyone who came in after us get their orders, before someone telling us that they LOST our order. We had a choice, either stay and pay full price for both orders or cancel our order and leave. She said that we could cancel our order and leave, not offering anything for our inconvenience, so we left. We will never return, and people knew we were not happy when we left, all eyes were on us in a busy restaurant. We get it that you are busy, but we don't like the fact that you are incompetent and it took over 40 minutes for us to find that out. Read moreIt would be really nice to see better quality and more healthful items on the menu. Most of what is on offer would fall into the opposing category. It, definitely, can't compare to what I can prepare for my family at home at a significantly lower cost. Also, I have to comment of the staff's habits. We saw several staff members standing at the bar which is in the public area, picking cutlery out of the dishwasher holder by their tines, blades and bowls with their BARE hands, without gloves! Aside from this, while customers were still at their tables, a staff person was swapping the floors around us using a strong disinfectant or de-greasing chemical cleaner which drove us out and gave me a painful rash on the roof of my mouth.
