Jungle Jim's Eatery — Restaurant in Corner Brook

I recently visited Jungle Jim's in Corner Brook, and I must say, the experience was underwhelming, to say the least. We decided to order the "Kitchen Sink," expecting a hearty and satisfying meal. Unfortunately, what we got was shocking in all the wrong ways.

First off, the portion sizes were severely lacking. The wings were comparable to the cheap $9.98 box wings you’d find at Walmart, the kind you could easily make at home with far better results. There were only two mozzarella sticks—yes, just two—and a measly handful of fries. For a dish called the "Kitchen Sink," we expected something more substantial. I even considered stopping at McDonald's on the way home to get a burger because I left the restaurant still hungry.

To top it all off, the overwhelming smell of bleach filled the air, making the dining experience even more unpleasant. I understand the need for cleanliness, but the excessive amount of bleach in the mop water was overpowering and made it difficult to enjoy our meal.

Overall, this was a disappointing visit, and I can't see myself returning anytime soon. Jungle Jim’s really needs to step up their game if they want to keep their customers satisfied.

We had a birthday brunch and the service and food was fabulous!! Our server was super friendly and very nice to deal with. She said she was fairly new there but I want to say she treated us with so much class and personality that she deserves to be commended and rewarded. She was absolutely fantastic!!! Thank you to our server, you certainly go above and beyond for your guests. 💜 wish there were more servers like you. Jungle Jim’s is very lucky to have you.

However, I want to add, that as fabulous as our server was, we noticed some senior staff not being so friendly to her when she had to ask a question or correct the bill. There was no need to make her feel little or put down because of a simple mistake. She was great at what she did. So sorry you were treated like that. Management needs to let staff know to be kind to their coworkers. It was very uncalled for. This lady was so great at what she did. I would come back to Jungle Jim’s just because of her service. Went there for my birthday supper and was told as we went in there was about a 15 minute wait to be seated which was fine being Friday evening and all .. so we sat and waited as did a few more people behind us .. so after waiting 40-45 minutes a woman comes in and the waiter being a young boy greets her and we over hear him saying I’ll get u in .. ok so was that fair after we people waiting patiently about 45 minutes and still not seated and this woman comes in and is seated ahead of us in 5 minutes.. NO . I’m assuming it was his relations .. anyway with that being said so much as we wanted to have and celebrate my birthday supper there we left after waiting 45 minutes… and encountering this situation.. We do enjoy going to Jungle Jim’s but we do except to be treated equally … a sorry at least for this past experience and teach those little boys about not taking preference in their customer...
