Ship Victory Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Dartmouth

We discovered this bar by accident, looking for a good plate of fish and chips. When you find the Ship Victory, don't be swayed by the exterior...it needs some TLC. However, once inside, what a treat. Our very friendly and attentive server, Ronda (no H) ;-), was a pleasure to meet and learn from. We both had the fish and chips. I must say, some of the best we've had. The fish was cooked fresh, with just the right amount of batter! Amazing flavour. The chips were not your run-of-the-mill fries...very tasty. We will definitely be back when in Dartmouth again. Highly recommend...

The decor is great! The fact that this place looks like a ship brings a great novelty to the place. I ordered the fish and chips, but substituted the fries with onion rings. I come from a fishing town and I'm super impressed with the fish, great batter, crunch and fish. The onion rings were fried amazingly. The only reason it's not getting 5 stars on my food experience was that the food was too greasy. A little is to be expected, since it's deep friend food, but once Ifeel the liquid while you're chewing, it's a turn off for me. I would however eat there again, several...

Would have given them zeros but doesn't allow..Well what a night. Went to the Ship Victory in Dartmouth for karaoke. Well where do I start. Waitress was rude and unprofessional, my liver came out with blood on the plate and oozing from the liver..then no I'm sorry or anything. Didn't come back to see if i wanted anything different. Service was awful. Then the host allowed 2 people to sing the same song pretty much back to back. Well it was an adventure and not one I shall repeat..only good thing was the people...
