We discovered this bar by accident, looking for a good plate of fish and chips. When you find the Ship Victory, don't be swayed by the exterior...it needs some TLC. However, once inside, what a treat. Our very friendly and attentive server, Ronda (no H) ;-), was a pleasure to meet and learn from. We both had the fish and chips. I must say, some of the best we've had. The fish was cooked fresh, with just the right amount of batter! Amazing flavour. The chips were not your run-of-the-mill fries...very tasty. I come from a fishing town and I'm super impressed with the fish, great batter, crunch and fish. The onion rings were fried amazingly. The only reason it's not getting 5 stars on my food experience was that the food was too greasy. Waitress was rude and unprofessional, my liver came out with blood on the plate and oozing from the liver..then no I'm sorry or anything. Didn't come back to see if i wanted anything different. Service was awful. Then the host allowed 2 people to sing the same song pretty much back to back. Well it was an adventure and not one I shall repeat..only good thing was the people...
