The A&W in northern Manitoba has seen a significant decline in service quality, despite upholding commendable standards in food preparation. My visit occurred during the Country Fest festival, which may have exacerbated operational challenges. I ordered two Teen Burger combos with a side of chipotle mayo, upgraded to onion rings, and included drinks, totaling just under $40. The food was expertly prepared, served at the ideal temperature, and was both visually appealing and delicious. However, the service was notably deficient, overall substandard customer experience. Furthermore, the restaurant’s cleanliness was appalling, significantly diminishing the visit’s quality. Restaurant was cold. Bathrooms smelled nice but bad dryer was CAKED in grime I ordered a BLT chicken burger . The chicken was hard and dry like it had been sitting in a warmer for several hours. The “bacon” was so non-existent that I had to dismantle the sandwich to find it. When I took it to the front to ask for a proper serving of bacon, I was informed that the “BLT Chicken Burger “ only comes with 1 single strip of bacon. I unfolded the shreds in front of him and showed him that it was not even a full strip of bacon. He tried to argue, but finally turned around and asked the kitchen for a half strip of bacon. August 21st 2020.... did the drive through. Ordered teen burger combos with upgrade to poutines. Drove home 3.5 miles and just burgers in the bag. So I phoned and left a message. No one phoned back. So I drove into town again. Got the poutines. Person at the window apologized for the other person. Told them I had to drive 7 miles round-trip. So I guess it was my fault for not checking the bag. No coupons to entice me back. Poor management did not call me back.... but at the window they said they had my message. Staff make mistakes....could have been busy. but make it right with the after service. Not recommending...
