I recently had a rather unsettling experience at this McDonald's, and I believe it's crucial to share my thoughts on the matter. While the incident itself was not catastrophic, it did raise some serious concerns regarding food safety and customer care. During my visit, I ordered a McFlurry. As I was enjoying it, I suddenly choked on a sharp piece of plastic that had broken off from a McFlurry lid and found its way into the ice cream. This was not just a random occurrence; the manager admitted to witnessing the lid break while mixing the McFlurry and still choosing to serve it. All she did was put a new lid on the McFlurry. This, in my view, is 100% negligence on the part of the staff. Upon reporting the incident, I was met with an apology from a supervisor who explained that the recent plastic ban had prompted the use of a new mixer system that broke the lid. I was refunded for my meal and offered a $25 compensation. Frankly, I did not feel that this was an adequate response given the admitted negligence and the potential harm that could have resulted. After some back-and-forth discussions with the owner, I expressed how much more serious the issue could have been and the potential financial damages that could have arisen if I had swallowed the plastic. In response to my concerns, the owner eventually offered an additional $75 in gift cards. While this was a more substantial gesture, it still leaves me with lingering apprehension. My concern remains that this situation had the potential to be far more serious. Had a child or someone else accidentally ingested the plastic, it could have led to not only a lawsuit but also significant public outcry and injury. Thankfully, I did not swallow the plastic, and my injuries were limited to a minor cut on my tongue. Nevertheless, the entire incident has left me feeling rattled. In conclusion, while McDonald's did take some steps to address the situation and increase the compensation, I believe that a more thorough investigation and a more substantial gesture of goodwill were warranted. Food safety should always be a top priority, and I hope that incidents like this can serve as a wake-up call for better training and procedures in the future.

I'm a huge fan of the Grinch so when I heard the Grinch meal was here, I hurried down to get an adult happy meal and a child happy meal. Was I ever disappointed with my Grinch meal! First of, the cashier didn't even know I could choose a Big Mac instead of chicken mcnuggets. She had to turn around to see the big screen advertising the Grinch meal. Ok, staff wasn't aware of the new promo. When I got the food, it wasn't in a Grinch box. I was disappointed. The Grinch meal wasn't cheap to begin with. At $16.89, you get a Big Mac combo meal with a pair of socks. When you add it up, its not a deal. You're paying for every item in it including the socks. You can't buy the socks directly but you can buy the toy only that comes with the child's happy meal. I noted they had a stack of Grinch boxes behind the cashier and yet they did not package my Grinch meal in it. Why tempt me and charge premium? The child happy meal was in a regular box with no Grinch advertising at all. Another disappointment. We grabbed our meals and found the napkin dispenser was empty. First time, first McDonald's that supplies were depleted. When we got home, we noticed we had the shaker bag and dill pickle package but no fries. Blasting mad, I jumped back into my car, drove back to McDonald's and complained. There was no apology. The cashier grabbed some fries and gave it to me. I told her that the rest of my food was now cold and all she did was shrugged her shoulders. Poor service. Poor attitude. Not returning here, Grinch or not.

I was absolutely stunned by this McDonald's branch! I personally love the Tsawwassen neighborhood, and this experience made me realize that it might just be the best place to live on the mainland. Today, I ordered a burger muffin and an iced coffee. In many other branches, when I asked for mayo to go with my burger, they would often refuse or claim that there was an additional fee for it. However, the employees at this branch were incredibly empathetic and humble. When I asked for mayo, they not only gave me one but three packets! This was mind-blowing and really highlights how different people's attitudes can be from place to place. That's one of the reasons why Tsawwassen stands out—it has a unique charm that nowhere else can replicate. I've visited this McDonald's before, and I will definitely continue to return because of the fantastic employees and the great atmosphere. I highly recommend this branch!

This used to be the best McDonald's I had been to in the states or BC. Food was hot, friendly servers, fast service. Had been coming here since I was 7 or 8 years old. I want to preface this by saying the majority of servers are very polite even still.

My father, a successful small business owner that started out managing a McDonald's in California told me this place was the best, and he was right.

Times have changed, and rather suddenly starting a couple years ago. This place is on my way from a long work commute, so usually once a week I'd stop here for dinner.

Started off with longer wait times, getting orders wrong, giving you the wrong thing and so on, normal stuff for a mediocre place.

I'll get to my main complaint now, and the most annoying by far. I order either one, or two things, never ask for a bunch or add-ons or takeaways. Simple orders.

Every. Single. Time I've been through drive thru, I am asked to pull forward to their reserve parking for orders that arent ready yet. And it's not just me, when I come through at night, they ask EVERYONE to pull forward. To the point where they ask people to go wait in their front parking lot.

I dont just mean when they're slammed, I mean 9pm, there might be one or two cars behind me, and I get asked to pull forward. I get they're trying to shave time off their little timer deal inside, but this is ridiculous.

A month ago I was with my dad in the morning getting coffee before work. He asked for a cup of ice when they forgot his coffee was suppose to be iced. They asked him to pull forward TO PUT ICE IN A CUP. He said no, the person turned around and took all of 4 seconds to put ice in his cup. I couldnt stop laughing, and whenever I describe to people the lunacy of their pull forward heavy approach, this is the story I tell.

I have never been to another place that does this. What's changed in the last few years? My gut tells me management is the issue. For the most part their employees are very nice people, but it's almost like a kid is handling this approach.

This is lazy. This is annoying. And the frequency of this has stopped me from going here anymore. If a real manager takes the time to read this long winded review, please consider. I work in service as well, I feel for you if you are understaffed, but this practice is unacceptable, I would be very very surprised if other people havent noticed this or dont feel the same way.

I have kids of my own now, would love to take them here for a treat and tell them what my dad told me, that this is the best McDonald's...

The experience of ordering through the Drive Trough always has ups and downs for me, but lately, it has been more on the downside. It is common that when your order, there is always something missing in your order. Last Friday night, I went with my wife to get something for dinner only because my kids still love McDonald's and the person that was taking the order sounded more to be in a rush and was not listening to what I was saying. He was more interested in completing the order and moving on. After I paid, I went to the next counter to pick up my order, and I asked my wife to check what was inside the bags; the person that handled the food over the window did not look friendly and receptive when I communicated that something was missing that she is a rude way said: “... that is what you ordered nothing is missing...”. For now, I will avoid going to this place and refinery. I won't recommend it to others.

Additionally, once when ordering on the screen, the option for a bag came up mid-order. Thinking that it would ask again while we checked out, we pressed no bags and continued with ordering. Weirdly, the bag question did not come up again when we checked out even though we selected the “take out” option (so it's even weirder that it would not automatically include a bag). We paid and thought we would see if they gave us one- again, it was marked down as a “take out” order, you would think they would give us a bag or ask if we needed one. When we got it with no bag, we politetly asked a worker if we could get a bag and explained what happened while we ordered. Rather than hearing us out the worker looked displeased and looked at the receipt only to say “you selected no bags” and proceeded to rudely tell her she had to pay at the cash till. Overall, the service is unpleasant and...
