A great little place with delicious food. We used the drive-thru and it was a little awkward when we ordered at the sign and pulled up to the window and waited over 5-min before someone came to take payment. I get there are only a couple of people working in there and they were cooking, but just an acknowledgement of the order or an estimate of how long we’d wait would be helpful. It was about 10 min, which is totally fine, just a heads up would make the wait easier. The food was delicious! We had some burgers, fries, and a donair and enjoyed them all. The burger patties were cooked well and had a nice flavour. The fries are those delicious cavendish-style with the coating (like Costco, if you’re familiar). The mushrooms were a little underwhelming, but not bad. The donair was a little dry and could definitely use more onions, but it was still delicious as-is. Overall, a great little place. Pick up some food and then head on down to the park to eat it by the river.

A legit shack that serves burgers, fries, poutine and ice cream. Limited seating outside only and has a drive thru. I really enjoyed my burger and tater tots. Burger was cooked fresh and was blazing hot. Really good flavour and cooked to perfection. Only complaint would be too much bun and a bit cheap with the toppings. I had a few shreds of lettuce and a puny end cut of a tomato which was disappointing, luckily it was a damn good burger and I quickly forgot about the oversight. Tater tots were perfectly crispy and I couldn't get enough of them. Next time I'm going to try the tater tot poutine! I'd recommend you give this local spot a try.

I was running a heavy load east on hwy 60 and I decided to stop in for a quick bite to the Sugar Shack...if I could give this place 10 stars I would, they make the best French fries on planet Earth 🌏 not to mention their incredible burger specials and amazing hospitality this is a 1 stop destination if your hungry and looking for fanrastic quality food, service and hospitality, far better quality and price then any franchise burger stops passing thru Devon Ab

I have been eating here when passing through Devon for years and the food and staff never disappoint . This time was no exception ,the donair was delicious. The reason for the review however was the attitude of the owner . I casually asked her if the food truck that pops up across the street from her has hurt her business and she smiled at said "not at all ,there's plenty for everyone and it gives people another choice , It's good to see the town busy " Really ? A comment like this from a small business owner in 2017 ? Really? I was absolutely humbled by her awesome attitude and outlook and quite frankly a little embarrassed that I did not see that side of it. Thank you for the great meal and the little reminder . Devon is lucky to have the Sugar...

Service was absolutely appalling. Went through the drive thru and ordered 2 ice creams. They took our payment at the window, and we noticed they started putting the ice creams in a cone, so we very politely asked if they could please put them in cups instead. Not a big deal right? Well, the man at the window scoffed and gave my partner the dirtiest look like we had just absolutely ruined his day. He passed out the ice creams and did not speak a word or even smile. Probably the worst service I’ve ever had at a food establishment. I was thinking of trying a burger one day but I don’t think we will be going back. The ice cream is good, but honestly not worth almost $5 each with the abhorrent...
