Went here today for lunch, the food was overpriced, service was bad and there is only one washroom that smelt musty and did not have an air freshener or incense/scent. Our server Poppy was dismissive and not attentive. The main courses did not arrive at the same time and took a long time to get to the table (3 plates of pasta came together and then the 4th was another 10 min after everyone got their mains). We had to ask them to bring fresh black pepper and to grate cheese on the pastas, it wasn’t offered. Chili flakes helped to enhance the mild-tasting pasta. The Carbonara had way too many big chunks of greasy pancetta. Tiramisu was not good and even though it was to be shared by 4 people, no one wanted more than one bite. Calamari was $18 and under the sharing platters however it was a very small portion, the batter was soggy and the olives were also in the batter which was a terrible idea for olives. One person got the Basilico platter which was $29, the menu said It was fennel sausage (which tasted like a basic barbecued sausage), pork ribs which were over-sauced and burnt and flank steak which was cooked fine but there were five small pieces. The platter said it also came with “preserves” which were just a few sliced pickles and corn spears. For a so-called “Italian” restaurant, they cook their food with a toxic oil (a canola oil infused with garlic) instead of using a healthy/high-quality olive oil which is also a shame. Some of the menu’s also had a typo on it that showed that a shrimp add on for salad was $16 and $7 for pasta which shows a lack of basic organizational oversight as well. This is the restaurant at the Inn at the Falls in Bracebridge, the view from the patio was nice but nothing special. Will definitely never go here again and do not recommend.

I'm in Bracebridge for the first time, with my boys. After checking out menus for several local restaurants, decided to try out Basilico (my youngest is celiac and I am dairy free). There was only 1 other family in there when we arrived (it felt like walking into a dungeon, getting down to it lol) so that was good, as I didn't know how my kids would be. The waitress was amazing, going through everything on the menu that my son would be able to have. I asked for the gnocchi with butter and parm for him. When it first came out, it was the regular gnocchi meal. He tried it, but he was going to pick off all the peas and walnuts. So she took it back and brought out a fresh plate of it plain. She was so kind to listen to my kid's random ramblings! Then, she allowed the March break special to apply to both kids' meals (even though I only got one regular meal). Definitely recommend this cute little restaurant!

We had a wonderful experience dining in Bracebridge! The service was lovely staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very well taken care of. The menu offered a great variety. While the gnocchi wasn’t quite my favourite (I think the sauce is more of an acquired taste), the mushroom pasta with pesto cream sauce was absolutely outstanding rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere was also very eye catching, various art pieces to see. Their appetizer selection was very good, and it was nice to see San Pellegrino available to pair with our meal. To finish, we enjoyed espresso along with a lovely variety of desserts, which made the evening even better. Overall, this restaurant is a gem in Bracebridge with excellent service and a menu that has something for everyone. We look forward to coming back!

We dined there once this year in April for my wife's birthday night out. Unfortunately we did not enjoy our experience, and we’re not going back.

My food was cold when it came out, and my wife's entre came out 20 mins after mine. I ordered seafood linguine for my entre that night and it came out with spaghetti noodles and it tasted like it came out of a can. Extremely bland.

My wife ordered the salmon and when it did get to the table it was not good. We both tried it and it was extremely over cooked and very fishy tasting. Neither of us have ever had salmon like that before. We sent it back, and did not want a replacement.

The crème brule desert my wife ordered was overcooked and had a curdled texture to it.

We did order pizza that night and that was very good, it was the best part of our meal I would say.

We felt for the price of everything on the menu that the execution of the food would be more on par with other restaurants in the area similarly priced. Like "tall trees", "crossroads", "dock of the bay". These are all places we have frequently dined with. Also my wife wrote a review afterwards and never heard anything back from it.

I truly hope my feedback helps, it's honestly something we hope helps improve the restaurant scene in bracebridge as we both feel the area needs more options to go to locally. Especially with a location like this that actually has a beautiful water view of the wharf and a nice patio. Something that is extremely lacking in...

Honestly, not the best experience. I made a reservation for 55 people for a tour group. I dealt with Kennedy mostly, and we agreed on a set menu of shareable apps and pizzas for the entire group, since they would be pre-paying for their entire trip which included this lunch. I've never been to the restaurant before so I depended on Kennedy for suggestions and ideas. She recommended the pizzas as they are shareable size. When the group arrived, it was disappointing to hear that a few people did not have seats, and were instead seated off to the side (which would have been fine) but no food was served to them. 2nd of all, the portion sizes were extremely small. The pizzas were not shareable at all. Every single person left the restaurant hungry. On top of that, the reviews I received from all of them, aside from not having enough food, was the pizza tasting horrible. Completely dry, no sauce, and the toppings were awful. They all felt like they ate dough. I emailed Kennedy after hearing all the negative feedback, but sadly no response back, no care at all. Hence why I decided to share my reviews here. You could imagine how much money we spent for 55 people, so it was extremely disappointing to hear such negative feedback. Especially since I kept asking her if what we've order was enough, and if that was the best route to take for a large group. Of course we will never again take our tour group to this...
