I had an amazing experience at the Fishbowl restaurant in Bracebridge. A friend told me about the restaurant and we went to check it out today and the food was delicious! Iâve had chicken roti at quite a few different restaurants and festivals, and this was, by far, one of the best Iâve ever had.
I am actually not a lover of spicy food so I was a bit concerned that the food would be too hot. I told them this when ordering and was elated that my chicken roti was incredibly flavourful without burning my mouth off. My friend, on the other hand, enjoys spicy food and they made hers to taste, and she was very pleased with her meal, as well.
If youâre in Muskoka and youâre looking for some delicious Caribbean food, I highly recommend giving them a taste. Leah, the owner is also a lovely human and made the experience even more enjoyable.
Thank you so much for a wonderful meal! Iâll be enjoying the 2nd half tomorrow, as I wasnât able to eat more than half.
Wishing you the best of luck with...
Read moreOn our way back to Toronto during a road trip to Huntsville, my partner and I found this gem near Canvas Brewery. We were so surprised to find a Caribbean spot, and specifically Grenadian đŹđ© at that! Leah was really lovely to talk to, and you can tell she puts her heart into her food and business, with excellent customer service (something often lacking with Caribbean establishments). Now the food...my often go-to for roti is chicken, but we decided to share a beef instead, and omg this has to be the best I've had. The beef was so tender and juicy, the curry had the perfect amount of pepper and potatoes, and the roti skin was just the right thickness to soak up the sauce without breaking apart đ€€. We're already looking forward to our next visit when it's warmer, and highly recommend if you're in the area (or not - it's worth the drive for sure!). Keep up the great work Leah and wishing you great...
Read moreThe husband and I are huge Jamaican food enthusiasts, but living in Bracebridge-we found we had to drive quite far to find anything authentic.
Well, not anymore. I was pleasantly surprised to find this little place in Huntsville, so we hopped in the car and booked it over there.
A friendly smile greeted us, we ordered our food and it came out hot and quick. Two orders of jerk chicken, and an order of curry chicken, both with slaw, and rice and peas . Beautifully cooked, the chicken was falling off the bone. Heaven and a half!
We are so thrilled to finally have a spot to indulge that carribean crave! We'll be back soon...
