Seeing all the previous reviews, I see that perhaps my experience was an anomaly. But I went to Mr. Sub after the drive throughs at Tim Hortons and McDonalds were insanely long, and decided to give Mr. Sub a try. I was surprised that my meatball sub was warmed up by microwave (after wrapping it up completely) even though there was a panini press right there. The result was deplorable. It was soggy and squishy (there is also heat from inside the sandwich as a result of the warm meatballs) and there was no structure left in a basic sandwich. I would definitely not have asked for my sub to be warmed up if I knew it was going to be microwaved. If the panini press was not working, they should have said something. Read moreOn Sunday was taking my friend's daughter to the camp which took me 3 hours drive. Came to this location to visit a washroom on my way back. The guys who worked there on Sunday 11th of July 2021 said the washroom is only for those who buy their food. I said to them that it is discrimination and is not humane to earn money on those who is in need for a washroom. They said no food - no washroom. So be aware, do not visit this place as they only care for your money and not you. Who knows how fresh is their food with such attitude! I went to Tim Horton's and they let me in no problem....
Read moreGreat spot but my edited review has to acknowledge one disappointment. The tuna sub (albacore) used to be less smeared in Maoyonnaise and less wet...less like Subway. Now it is "goppy".
Otherwise the breads are better than the competition.
This little spot is very covid sensitive, the food is fresh, the parking is convenient as is the proximity to Hwy 169 south and all of Gravenhurst etc. Also, there is a ice cream parlor right next door! I have acquired a taste for Mr. Sub over Subway and recommend this unpretentious...
