Upon paying for the burger that I ordered, the clerk did not intend to show me the credit card machine and expected me to just tap my card. I had to ask for the price before I paid. The burger I ordered was shown on their board as $14 but when paid, it came to $16.50. When asked, the clerk stated it was the tax (he probably assumed that I was not from local so I know tax is only 5%. He quickly said it was the “service fee” and “the credit card fee”. He also stated the chicken burger was $14.50 not $14 (as shown on their board). It would be ok to pay for all the extra fees but it shall be transparent for customer to see. I felt being scammed from this place.

I recently read an article about someone being charged $1111.77 for just buy $17 food, and it reminded me of my own experience on June 5, when I visited Lynn Canyon. I had a disappointing experience at this store. I was charged $11 for a single can of soft drink and a melted ice cream, which seems unreasonably expensive. The staff member didn’t show me the amount on the credit card machine before asking me to tap, and I was not given a receipt. I was here few days ago and I had a coffee to go with me before I started my hiking. Coffee was average, of course can’t compare with other coffee places, but it wasn’t the rough ones. Then after the hikes, my husband had a cheese burger for lunch and I had some of the fries. Wow, the fries really surprised me!!
