Was at Chenoys on the weekend for a late morning breakfast. Had the simple (yet delicious) basic two eggs, toast, coffee, fruit salad, and potatoes. Everything was fresh and plentiful. Plated neatly and cleanly. Portions were generous and all was very very tasty. Even the bottomless (brewed) decaf coffee was quite satisfying. The atmosphere was classic Montreal deli style with an ageless design that makes you feel at home - hopefully they will not change this as it is quite quaint as well. And the service: polite, respectful, attentive, detail oriented, and got the order to perfection - even the extra potatoes and well done scrambled my guest. And he was always making sure that our table had what it needed and checked in with us - even though he had a huge section he alone was managing fantastically. All in all I wrote this because I found this experience to be not just as good as other breakfast specialty places like eggspectation, l’Ouffrier, and others, it was actually better!! Better in very possible way for that matter. And the bonus, for those who love or appreciate a good smoked meat, you can smell the wafting aroma of their classic and delicious smokers meat warming in their steamer. And by the way, as one of the meats, you can have smoked meat with your breakfast to boot!!! So be a Tourist or a Local, GO to Chenoys for a great meal and dining experience you shall not regret it. And to boot, the pricing is not par with the the quality, portions etc, it is less expensive than the competition hence - even celle t value for your money as well. Love to hear everyone’s expletive.

At first, I thought the portions were quite small for a 40$ trio but it ended up being quite a meal and with a decent amount of leftovers. The fries were a bit soggy, maybe due to it being delivered, and the wings were normal. The smoked meat was good, quite tender, but I would have preferred it more if the meat had more fat in it. The coleslaw was good and the bread was alright. My favourite part was definitely ribs. It was glazed with amazing flavours and the slightly charred exterior made the ribs so addictive. It complemented the tender meat so amazingly and it was quite delicious. On the other hand, I was quite disappointed in the Strawberry shortcake. For one slice to be charging 9$, the cake was really underwhelming. The strawberry itself barely had any flavours and the texture of it was weird. The sponge cake itself was soggy and the texture was also a bit off. It wasn't an amazing dessert following the great ribs. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal for a reasonable price. I wish they had a better ratio of vegetables in their trio but that is probably just me. Their menu offers such a wide selection of meals, it is a great place for a larger party as everyone can easily find something they enjoy.

You would not believe the experience I had at this restaurant!!

I recall it was a Thursday evening around a two moths ago and I walked into the restaurant and it was packed

I was waiting in line for a while and it seemed like one person would get to the cash and then the next but the line kept getting longer and it was super weird

By the time I made it to the counter I was greeted by a cleanly shaven man in a nice suit and he offered me alcohol which I thought was kind of weird because like... Isn't this a sandwich place??

Anyways I ordered a martini which he was able to prepare for me rather quickly and I complimented him on his service

He asked me if I'd like anything else (he kept calling me sir it was kind of nice but a bit weird) and so I ordered the sandwich I originally came for

He disappeared into the back for what felt like hours but eventually came out with the best looking sandwich I had ever seen!!

He served it to me and told me to enjoy my meal and I was super excited to eat it... You could've told me this was a gourmet meal and I would've believed you

Anyways I go to take a bite and suddenly the room goes completely dark which really freaked me out

I look up from my sandwich to find that there's nobody behind the counter... I look around the restaurant to find that there's nobody in the restaurant either... Even the street outside is dead silent and there are no lights on at all

When did it become night time?? Why can't I hear anything??

I check my phone to see that it was no longer Thursday evening but rather 3:47 AM on a Sunday

How long had I been here?? Was there ever even a sandwich?? Was there ever anyone behind the counter??

I sat down at a table for two and cried until sunrise

It's been months since this happened and I haven't seen another person yet... Not on the street or in malls or in their homes...

It's as if I'm the only man left on earth

Sometimes I occasionally return to Chenoy's hoping to find the ghastly bartender but I have had no luck so far

If there's anyone out there who can read this please help me

Please talk to me

Please...

Extremely poor customer service!!!. I repeatedly try to contact manager about unsatisfied cheesecake. Spoke with Kamal , he said new chef, the other chef on vacation, took my info and said manager will call me back, never did. I call again spoke with Bethany, she said she is just a waitress, manager will call me back, never did. I call back repeatedly then finally spoke with manager Argy, she did not care to listen to my concerns, she was repetitive, defensive and tone of voice extremely rude and disrespectful on the phone. Finally Argy said will discuss with owner and get back to me, never did, such liars. Clearly they do not care about customers, all about a sale!!. All good they can keep my money which I pay for their product which is in the garabge, basically they are thieves!!! This restaurant does not even deserve to have any stars they way I was treated on the phone. I strongly Suggest their manager take courses to deal with the Public. Furthermore I have been buying this cheese cake once a year at christmas time for over 20 years. So I know what this cheese cake is all about and definitely was not the same cheesecake I bought .This was not cheesecake ,it was "SUGAR"CAKE, way too sweet. So not my first time buying this...
