Lighthouse Café — Restaurant in East Gwillimbury

We stumbled upon this bistro and it was so cute with a nice menu, we thought we were in for a treat. Unfortunately, the breakfast sandwich used a previously fried egg which must then have been refrigerated because the egg was stone cold in both of our sandwiches (although the biscuit it came on was hot and quite tasty). We also ordered chocolate milks and an oat milk, and we said no to the ice; however, all our drinks came with ice. I'm also pretty sure the chocolate milk was on the verge of being off.

On the plus side, the wrap my daughter had was good and was made according to our order and the desserts we ordered (a brownie, a raspberry square and a peanut butter chocolate chip ball) were all very good.

I was going to speak with one of the ladies there but they were quite busy by the time we left so I didn't... I truly hope that this review will be useful to the staff there and they can make improvements, because it really is...

what a cute cafe!! the coffee is quite delicious, can be hot or iced which is really nice! the canadiana iced coffee was really good! i got a vanilla syrup in it and it was sweet but not overpowering the inside of the cafe is adorable! such beautiful artwork on the wall available for purchase! the seating was super comfortable and vintage great outdoor seating as well the lady serving us was so kind and explained the different syrups and the menu! seems like the baked goods are freshly baked so we will for sure come back one morning when they open! great hours...

Absolute gem of a cafe, with amazing sandwiches, cookies, other baked goods, and of course coffee. I had a chicken wrap, s’mores bar, coffee, and ginger molasses cookie last time I went and they were all FANTASTIC. The owner, Tara, is so lovely and clearly an incredibly talented chef/ baker. Her dedication is evident in the quality of her offerings at lighthouse cafe. Also, the decor is so cute and cozy.
