I've eaten here a few times, the food is fine, but I wouldn't call it a "great" restaurant. I think it's important to go here with your expectations set to "greasy spoon diner".

Items that are diner staples are fine, burgers, fries, basic pastas etc. Try to get something uncommon and it's hit or miss. For instance the "crabcakes" are made from surimi aka pollock or "artificial crab". Probably one of the most disgusting things I've eaten this year, however the burger I got was good and would eat it again.

Expect your steamed vegetables to be over-steamed to the point of mush, bowl of fruit to be stuff that was cut up who knows when and stored in bowl. Like I said, stick to diner staples and you'll be fine. Not many other places to eat in this town, so...

Dropped by for a lunch based on Google reviews. Talking to some of the patrons this is clearly a go to place in the small town of Mount Albert. Service was friendly and efficient, with the servers greeting locals by name. Food portions were generous and delicious. The menu had many choices - sometimes places with big menus can struggle with quality but not this place. The items that we ordered were well executed and presented. Delicious wings, onion rings, salad, shrimp linguine and butternut squash soup. Prices were very reasonable with daily special featuring generous portions and very inexpensive prices. The atmosphere is classic home town family restaurant. A nice patio is available outside. You won’t go wrong with...

Delicious local food joint! We ordered from here for our anniversary dinner (did take out as our work schedules didn't allow for us to eat in) and everything was INCREDIBLE! The Twisted Ravioli was by far my favourite item, the marinara sauce was just the right amount of spice and complimented it perfectly. Our mains we also yummy, and the Cesar salad has a nice rich homemade dressing on it (not the artificial junk you get at other places) it really made the salad! We even got dessert (ya we went all out!) the chocolate chip oreo cheesecake was OUT OF THIS WORLD, perfect texture and so decadent! Nothing but happy tummies from us, 2 thumbs up! Can't wait to...

Update, April 21, 2025, All good. Super thick burgher. . Update September 5 2023, Never disappoints. Great food. Reasonable price. Others must agree as the place is almost full noon on an Tuesday. Lunch specials now $12. A variety offered each day from Thai to Hamburgers. Update.March 24,2022-- New management. I like the new niche they serve. Others do also. It had an ample number of lunch time diners. Great lunch entres for $10. see photos. Rebecca looked after all of us but with a smile and excellent service Cilentro wrap was great. Fries perfect. Great service. This is our close by restaurant. It never disappoints.

An absolutely wonderful place for a weekend lunch! Time your visit when Danielle is waiting on tables and you'll meet one of the most pleasant waitresses ever! Hubby had a vegetable omelette with baked beans, I had the grilled cheese with house salad, and we both had a super satisfying lunch! Take yourself out to Mt. Albert today. You deserve a treat!
