Fatburger South Edmonton Common — Restaurant in Edmonton

Stopped in for lunch and tried out the winter bacon and cheese special, in fat size. Staff were extremely friendly and happy, and best of all, did not make any assumptions regarding the fact I was wearing sunglasses, and instead ASKED if I was going to be staying in, which was a rather nice surprise! Most places assume you'll be taking your food to go, but I have to wear sunglasses due to being photosensitive so it was a rather welcome surprise for the staff to have their question leaning towards staying in ^_^

It's also nice to eat at a place where you're notified of approximately how long it would take (I was told 6-8 minutes when ordering, and received my food after 7), but to also have it brought to your table. This seems to be something that doesn't happen at too many places anymore, and it's a welcome treat.

I have been to this location over 30x for dine in and take out. Every time the service has been good and I've been in and out. This time when placing a pick up order everything went smoothly until i got the order and she forgot my water. Not a big deal i just ran back in and grabbed it. When i got home i was also missing a fry. Also not a big deal, I just wanted to make sure i wasn't charged. The lady i spoke to was not rude and let me know i wasn't charged but they had forgot and i wouldnt know if i was charged because it didn't give a breakdown on the receipt. She then asked" what she can do to make the situation better", i said "it was fine". She said to "come back and she would give me a fry". I told her again that its fine i just wanted to make sure i wasn't charged. She then got rude and said" if you want you can drive back and she can give me a fries and id pay for it.". Decided to grab a burger with my brother and my toddler in mid-October 2014. We were welcomed immediately and a really nice staff member named Rod brought my daughter a toy to play with while I ordered, which was great because she was running in circles and driving me crazy! He also moved a highchair over to our table before we'd even sat down.

We got the food right away, which was also great, but five minutes into the meal, my toddler spilt her milk everywhere. I asked for a rag, but he came by right away and mopped it up for us. The food was good for the money, but it was the staff member - I think his name was Rod - who really made the experience great for us.
