Pind Punjab restaurant customer service is very very poor. Especially one girl at the front desk she has no manners at all....I truly feel sorry for the owner he has to deal with that stupid cashier every day when she has no manners and no customer service skills at all and doesn't know how to talk to customers. I'm not saying customer is always right but they should consider there valid points and work on it instead of argument with customers. I ordered my food on Friday evening and went to pick up my food all I asked was to have green sauce she said no unless you pay. I refuse to pay and told them why did you guys make a such a big deal with that sauce. Then owner speak up which is he was very polite and he said this sauce cost us so much money we can't afford. ( if its me I will either stop selling that sauce or increase the size of the container.....25-30 samosa customer order and they give you 10 spoons worth sauce that's bologna). My point is they have terrible service. I paid for my food and started walking towards the door and told them that's okay next time I will think before I come here there's lot other places we can order food and the cashier told me straight forward then don't come next time. I got so upset I was about to throw food back on her face but I barely controlled my self. I went back to the counter and told them take your food back and give my money back. That cashier start argument with me and told me I will pay you from my pocket I told her go ahead do it I don't care about you. Then finally one other gentleman was there he said sorry mam we don't want to treat our customers like that but that stupid girl was kept arguing with me I even told her I don't want to talk to you but she was keep going. But the owner and the other young fellow (don't know his name) they were very polite and kept saying sorry to me about the bad customer service experience I got it at the pind Punjab restaurant.
Regardless if customer right or wrong cashiers has no right to speak like that. She need to work on her customer service skills. If I was the owner of that restaurant that cashier will get either written up or terminate from her job. Hopefully owner does take some action and take care of my bad experience at his restaurant and get back to me with solution.
Hope to hear from him...
Read moreI am decently new to Edmonton , I came from Ottawa where I had a tried and true favourite Indian restaurant called Ahaar Taste of India. Needless to say, I had been disappointed time and time again by various Indian restaurants in Edmonton until my grandfather and I stumbled upon this hidden gem yesterday at lunch. It was close by and what my grandfather was craving.
So we walk in and things are looking a bit under construction and the restaurant is completely empty. It was nice for us because it was quiet and service was attentive.
We ordered rice, butter chicken (medium spice) , channa masala, and garlic naan.
The first thing I tried was the garlic naan. Super hot and fresh, made with real butter and garlic, nicely charred but not burnt, not too thick and the dough was just perfect. You'd be surprised how hard it is to get this right. 10/10 - reminded me of my favourite spot back in Ottawa.
The butter chicken had nice big chunks of white chicken breast meat done in the tandoor. They had that nice rich colour to them. Super tender. Not a speck of dark meat to be found and tons of flavour. Not spicy, even though we requested additional spiciness, but great taste nonetheless and I was very happy with it. It does have a slight sweetness but it's not sickening like some other places. Very well balanced flavour. 9/10
The channa masala was quite spicy but also loaded with flavour and I wouldn't hesitate to order it again but tread cautiously as we did not ask for additional spice here and it made up for the lack of spice in the butter chicken.
Essentially, this is my favourite spot I have tried so far and I am so happy it is fairly close to home so we can make this our regular indian spot.
The manager was the one serving us and he said they are having a hard time since the change of ownership and people thinking they are closed. He also said the old owner left a bunch of negative reviews for the place after it was bought. Unfortunate because it's delicious! And very nice inside.
They are open! Try...
Read moreI ordered on phone for paneer pakora, bread pakore and 2 cholle bhutre, they took my order and told me to wait for 20 minutes. i just called them within a minute after ordering and told them to cancel one cholle bhutre and i just need pakores and 1 cholle bhutre, they said ok . They called me back after that and told me they cannot cancel one cholle bhuttre and i need to get whole order , i said them that i called you back within a minute of giving my order and how come my order is ready within a minute, she said cholle are already cooked we cannot redo it, i told them cholle are always just lying on the counter near all sabjis and you do not cook everytime separate and its not made or cooked for one person separately , then she said my cash till(cash register) has already input your order , i cannot cancel it . Like wow, i told her i am not telling you to cancel whole order, just one cholle bhutre, she said no i cannot , my kitchen people are telling this and that, My question is you tell 20 min to wait for the order and made my order in seconds i called.
I told them to cancel my whole order then , she was like whatever i am cancelling the whole order, Like seriously now your food is not cooked or what , now your food is not getting wasted or what.
The basic whole agenda of them where to make me pay for whole thing even if they have not started or already cooked my food,
Why would you do that...
