Very disappointing experience at the Bitar's food truck parked in the restaurant parking lot. After spending $35+ on food, some of which was good (chicken tenders, and fish and chips - which were thin shoestring fries but tasted fine), I was served a cheese burger that was dressed with items I did not request. There were no knives for eating the fish and chips, no bottled water, and when I asked if they had malt vinegar, I was asked if the vinegar (white) in front of me was what I wanted. When I was asked what I wanted on it, I asked them what they had and I was told, "For sauces we have ketchup, mustard, relish, and mayo," so I ordered ketchup and mayo. She then said, "For toppings we have lettuce, tomatoes, banana peppers, pickles, and onions," I asked if the onions were raw or fried, and was told they are raw (which I don't like). So I said, "I'll just have lettuce and tomatoes." What I recieved was a burger with lots of mustard (both top and bottom of meat), mayo, raw onions, and large cubed pieces of tomatoes). When I took my burger back to the truck, I asked if I perhaps was given someone else's burger because it had items on it that I didn't want and it was missing items I had requested. They appeared confused, so I said it had mustard and onions on it and it's missing the ketchup and lettuce I did order. I was then told by both workers that that was I had ordered and that's what the paper said (best guess is they marked the wrong boxes). Honestly, I was so hungry, I said I'll just pick off the onions and wipe off the mustard but could I have the ketchup and lettuce I did order for it? Their reaction to everything was so odd that I thought they thought I was trying to scam them. The chunks of tomatoes made the burger lumpy and they kept dropping out. The photo shown on the truck was sliced tomatoes, which would have made sense on a burger. With the restaurant next door, if they were short on items, I would have thought they could just replenish there. We won't be back and we won't be going to the restaurant either. Two stars because the other...
Read moreTried here for the first time on a drizzly Monday evening in October, at around 5:30. The place is much bigger inside than I had expected, with a nice dining room & large bar in the middle, and some other dining areas hidden off on the sides, ideal for private functions I suppose. Quite nice looking, warm lighting, seating for "many" as I didn't count, but would say at least 50 in the main section. The menu has a wide variety of items to please even fussy eaters. I tried their 'Famous donair sub" - which comes open-faced. The bread was very soft and not as crispy as I'd expected, but it was still good. I'd say 9 inches, with a good amount of cheese, meat, tomato, onion & sauce... a bit messy to eat, but not too bad. Choice of side I picked the Caesar salad and it was good. Filling meal overall. The other two in my party were happy with their pasta and haddock dishes. Friendly service. I'd definitely...
Read moreI have eaten here many times before and loved it but my boyfriend and I were just in there tonight for a quiet meal together and had a very poor experience. The waitress rudely responded (not asked) for ID when we tried to order a glass of wine. We both got our ID's out, both of which are legal (we're 31 & 32) and not damaged in any way. She took one look at his and said no because she did not think it looked like him. She told him his face wasn't 'that slim' and that the person might be his brother but it wasn't him. She wouldn't even look at my ID. He had his ID renewed in Feb of this year, his hair has grown out a little but that's it. We have both been there and ordered drinks before, but tonight we were treated so rudely that we left in embarrassment. I will not return for fear of this treatment and I will tell others of this experience. Very...
