Horrible experience last week. A friend of mine and I went to get a little something during a break at work so we went through the drive thru because it wasn’t busy.
My friend got a breakfast sandwich that was apparently decent.
They were out of Boston Cream and chocolate glazed (both of which are required to be available by Tim Horton’s at all times the bakery is open), so they offered us a double chocolate. When we got to the window, they told us they didn’t have THAT either.
We had each ordered an iced coffee. Mine was supposed to be with chocolate milk instead of cream. I could tell immediately from the colour that they’d made mine with cream AND chocolate milk but I decided to let it slide.
We paid for the order and while the machine was processing the man at the window let it close. He then opened it again a few seconds later to ask us why we were still there. I told him I wanted to get confirmation the payment went through. He sort of waved me off. No “thank you” or “have a nice day”.
Now for the iced coffees. There was absolutely ZERO coffee in either of them. They were both just milk products and water. They tasted absolutely disgusting. We ended up throwing them out because we didn’t have a chance to return to the restaurant. Having worked at and managed a Tim Horton’s myself - I can tell you that they would either have known that they were just giving us watery products or else they were using an iced coffee decanter that was being cleaned and they weren’t paying attention to food safety protocols.
I’ve heard that this location has gone downhill recently but I’ve only ever been there a couple of times before.
I may never return there again after this most recent experience. Not only was the service bad, and the quality of the product worse; they either intentionally gave us bad product or else were so negligent with food safety that I wouldn’t trust them to...
Read moreUpdate on August 10 2025: I’ve never had a good experience at this Tim Hortons location, and today was no different. We went through the drive-thru and felt completely rushed from the start. We had a question about a coupon in the app, and the staff member just kept saying “yeah, yeah, yeah” without actually answering us — only for us to find out later we couldn’t use two coupons at the same time.
On top of that, I wasn’t even done ordering before she gave me my total — and she did it multiple times during the same order. The whole interaction felt rushed, dismissive, and unprofessional. Definitely one of the least pleasant Tim Hortons experiences I’ve had.
January 2025: I had a disappointing experience at the drive-thru today. I ordered my usual medium coffee with half sugar and half milk. When I saw the screen, it said cream instead of milk, so I corrected the staff, and they changed it to milk on the screen. However, when I got to the window, the cup said cream. I pointed it out, but the staff insisted it was milk, even after I opened the lid and questioned it because it looked like cream.
Unfortunately, when I got home and took a sip, it was clearly cream. I cannot drink coffee with cream—it upsets my stomach. This was a complete waste of money since I can’t drive all the way back to get it fixed. I have a small baby, and it’s a struggle to pull kids in and out of the car just to have my order corrected because someone at Tim Hortons was too stubborn to admit they made a mistake.
Attention to detail and better customer care would...
Read moreWish I could give even less, which is sad as this is the only tims in the area. I went 2 days in a row and ordered then got 30% of my order to have the girl at the till stare at me blankly and ask if she can help me. Like yes... You can get me my coffee and pastries I ordered and paid for... When I was there today I watched the girl at the front run around, one guy stood around doing nothing, the manager came from the back and absent mindedly wiped a machine and then walked away from the line at the front instead of jumping in to help. I also watched as I waited for my ice Capp and pastries, the lady working the till completely served the customers after me before even beginning my coffee... I get people are new but this has happened 4 times now, at what point are you just not made out to be an employee here? Watching the manager just walk away, I was baffled. When I got home, my BF's turkey club was sticky on the outside of the bun... We wherent sure how it could be sticky as there's mayo in it and not a sticky sauce (we assume contamination..ew), as well as nothing was cut, my bagel was slopped together and so was his sandwhich (lettuce only on one side, like it was literally thrown together from across the room). At this point I'd rather go to food land to get the materials and make everything myself. Service? Terrible. Food? Terrible. Value? Terrible. Skip skip skip...
