Pho Xuan Tang — Restaurant in Fort Erie

I can't say I'm impressed, my review has gone from 5 stars to 1. We have been customers for years, spent a lot of money, and refereed several friends and family. Recently we went to eat in, as we usually do take out. We were surprised to only have the option of generic Siracha on the table, had to ask for chilli oil. We weren't even brought enough for 1 small serving of Pho, let alone our 3 people with 3 large bowls. We did an order for pickup. I asked for a side of your lemon grass chili oil which has never been an issue in the past. It was always a minimal amount but it was included if you asked. I'm told it's a $1.50 extra charge for the literal thimble sized container. This, after you used to freely put it on the tables. I'm sorry, chili oil should be included with pho. If you're going to be this ridiculous to your loyal customers, rest assured I won't be spending my money at your establishment going forward. Also, the 2 leaves of Thai Basil we got with our take out order was insulting. The level of service has defiently gone down hill since they opened. One may think I'm being pety over $1.50. But I don't think that's the case, when you're provided something and used to that specific item from day one and it's taken away or charged additional for when it wasn't in the past. That's bad...

Super disappointed with my experience today.

My family and I have been eating here for years. Today I went in for a take out order (under $10). I paid with debit like I always do. I clicked no receipt and tapped to pay like I always do, if given the option.

The lady cashing me out said it didn’t go through and I need to pay again. I felt weird about it because the transaction seemed like it went through fine - I checked my bank account on my phone and it showed as a point of sale. I showed this to the lady but she was still adamant that I needed to pay. I said why would I pay again for something I already paid for? She then told me to pay again and go to my bank to talk to them about it. I explained there is no need to speak to them because there isn’t an issue with my bank !? She then suggested that I didn’t have enough money in my bank account so maybe that’s why it didn’t go through…. ummmm……….

I refused to pay again, so she eventually said “fine you can have the food” as if she was doing me a favour. I would never leave without paying for my food but it was clear that the transaction went through just fine.

First time at Niagara and wanted to try some Vietnamese food after a hot day. Found this little place with good reviews and decide this is the one.

Everyone was right, nice little place with good enough seating and comfortable. Bought my 2 kids in and got some appetizers and of course the famous large beef pho bowl. Everything came out excellent.

The server / front desk everyone was writing bad about is that they don't understand the restaurant, they don't have a server. He's one man that takes orders, cleans the table and does everything else in the front end besides cooking. I can't fault him for not knowing how to serve, but guessing he will get better.

The cook helper in the back did came out and help too. Not sure if she's the owner, but they...
