Upon arrival, the restaurant was not very busy. It was almost 10:30 am on a Sunday morning and we were ordering breakfast. There were tables available both inside and on the patio, which is where we chose to sit. We ordered our drinks, and did not receive the orange juice ordered. Our meals were 45 minutes wait. The food was ok. Our waitress (an older lady) took a break while we were waiting for our food. She didn't communicate to us at all during the wait. We asked another waitress for a refill of hot water in our tea pot. She took it inside and never returned with it. At a table next to us, a coffee was spilled. It was all over the elderly lady as well as all over the table. We offered our napkins for them to clean up the spill. When the patron told our waitress of the spill, she asked the waitress to bring us more napkins. She did, however, she didn't sympathize with the woman who's clothes were coffee stained, and didn't offer to bring a cloth to wipe the table. Definitely not an efficient or attentive waitress. We mentioned that we hadn't received our orange juice, and wanted to make sure it wasn't on our bill. There was not apology. She actually asked if we would like it. Seriously, we had been there an hour, eaten our food, and were paying the bill. I don't think we would want to sit down and drink an orange juice at that point. Even though it was not busy, the waitress rushed indoors as soon as the debit payment for our breakfast showed it went through. She didn't ask if I wanted a copy of the bill, or anything. Very disappointing experience for the three of us. We will not...
Read moreWe thought it was worth a visit for the name alone. The restaurant has a great vibe. There's a bar where a bunch of locals sit and drink the night away. The small dining room fills up fast, but the food is worth waiting for.
We had a special called Big Mac Bites, which were basically like lumpia (or eggrolls) stuffed with cheeseburger and with Big Mac dipping sauce on the side. Delicious and addictive! The French Onion soup was delicious and served piping hot. I also got the 2-piece breaded fish and chips. Possibly the best fish and chips I've ever had! The serving size was HUGE and I only finished about half of it. But it was so crisp and delicious I wished I could've kept going. We finished with their Chinese Cheesecake, which was kind of like a McDonald's apple pie but stuffed with cream cheese. It was fantastic and not as heavy as I expected.
Overall the meal was amazing and the service was top-notch. Even though this was my first visit, we were treated like...
Read moreNice food, friendly service. We visited Scuttlebutt the very first time Saturday Nov 5th, 2022 We had heard good things from people who live in the region.
We ordered the Shrimp Diablo pasta, and the Chicken Parm. both were very tasty, well cooked, with good portions. Our friends ordered a salad And a reuben sandwich.
When we were there - there must have been a staffing issue, as we had to wait a long time for service. It seemed this was a real concern. However, we did not complain or express concern. We understand how restaurants are experiencing challenges post pandemic. other people complained a lot - one person even created a huge stink when their order wasn't ready for pick up and stormed out without paying. This is not acceptable behaviour.
The food was good. and the server was very friendly. there is a small covered patio - as well as...
